If the recent explosive rumors about Faye Wong and Nicholas Tse are all true, then real life is surely way more fantastical than even fanfiction. Hot on the heels of an intrepid paparazzi team that staked out HK singer-actress Faye Wong’s Beijing luxury condo to capture a four day stay-in love fest with her reunited ex-boyfriend Nic Tse, there has been another bombshell rumor that rockets this particular story to never before seen heights of shocking. A reputable Chinese entertainment industry production blogger posted on his weibo account that Faye is carrying Nic’s baby and the two reunited months ago already. To say the Faye-Nic relationship circa 2000 was the biggest dating news in HK-ent back then is an understatement – she was a minted singing goddess the likes of Beyonce today, he was a brash rebellious son of a HK-acting legend and just starting out in his career, and to cap it off there was a 11-year age difference between them with Faye being 31 and Nic 20 when they started dating. For her 32nd birthday present, Nic bought a custom license plate for Faye that read “FE1” which cost him over $100,000 US dollars.
Theirs was a romance that burned so hot and bright when it ended there was a palpable sadness that such a wild and unexpected couple couldn’t make it work. Over the years Nic has kept a torch for Faye and publicly admitted he loved her the most of all his exes. When Faye divorced her second husband C-actor Li Ya Peng, he wrote a very sad post on his weibo where he described his marriage with Faye as this “I wanted a family, she was a legend, I wanted a wife, she was a goddess.” If the new rumors are true and Faye really is nearly 3 months along with Nic’s baby, this would mark her third child (and each with a different baby daddy) and his third child (after two with ex-wife Cecilia Cheung) and she would be a very high risk expecting mother at 45 years old. Even if the pregnancy rumors aren’t true, they are definitely back together after Nic’s manager raged at the media for the sleazy invasion of privacy in photographing his client last week through the window, thereby confirming that it was indeed Nic at Faye’s condo for those four days. Since this dating news is all good, imma going to grab some popcorn and sit back to keep watching the show.
Reportedly the Faye-Nic reunion was due to mutual good friend Zhao Wei (Vicky Zhao) orchestrating a dinner last year at her French winery chateau and since then the two have been slowly rekindling their epic romance from a decade ago. Zhao Wei is very good friends with Faye (moreso than with Nic), and clearly approves of him. Nic hosts his own cooking show and did a recent episode at Zhao Wei’s French winery. She was there filming and had a cast and crew of over 120 people. Nic arrived to fulfill a promise he made to her 10 years ago and cooked for not just her but her entire sprawling team. When Zhao Wei saw that she was so touched and said “[Someone] didn’t love the wrong guy” with the “someone” likely referring to Faye.
Later during the episode segment, Zhao Wei was so impressed with Nic’s cooking skills she commented that he could use it to keep the lady in his life tied to him. Nic teased back that he tried but didn’t succeed and they all left and no one is beside him now. Zhao Wei replied “The body may have left but you clearly locked her heart up next to you.” On the day of Faye’s 45th birthday last month on 8-8, on that very day Nic uploaded himself singing and playing the guitar to the song “One Life and One Lifetime” (which translates to the English phrase of forever and an eternity), it was the song that Nic wrote for his new movie But Always costarring Gao Yuan Yuan. Nic has not written a song in years and the coincidence of his writing a love song about a forever love and releasing it on Faye’s birthday did not go unnoticed.
All these little hints in the last year have been whetting the appetite for Faye and Nic to just get back together already, and now they have, with maybe even a baby on the way. Since the condo pictures broke, Faye’s side has been mum while Nic was tracked down on his way to Sichuan from Beijing and he simply replied that he was traveling and had nothing to say. Nic’s daddy the legendary HK-actor Patrick Tse was called by HK reporters and he said it was his son’s private life and told everyone to basically fuck off. LOL I love how crabby and irascible he is. On a side note, the blogger who just wrote that Faye is pregnant with Nic’s baby, back in March of this year he wrote that Faye and Nic were in the process of rekindling their romance (with Nic doing all the pursuing) and the two were definitely getting back together. I think this dude has legit cred in breaking Faye-Nic news.

Nic has been in a phenomenally good mood the last two months as he's been promoting the romance movie But Always with Gao Yuan Yuan. Some media have speculated that he had a crush on Yuan Yuan which got her hubby Mark Chao all riled up, but know we know now Nic's just happy to have Faye back. Also Mark and Yuan Yuan have been trying to get pregnant so the Nic has a crush on YY rumors were just really insensitive considering she's a newlywed.
Some have even made the connection that Nic cast Yuan Yuan in the movie because she strongly resembles Faye in style and aura, both aloof epic ethereal beauties. So basically Nic was making a movie about his love for Faye and cast Yuan Yuan to play Faye and make the reel an ode to the real.

In addition to Mani Fok (Nic's manager) backhanded confirmation that they are back together, Faye's manager confirmed the relationship but has denied that Faye is pregnant. I think they'be been back together for months and are ready to go public hence the pics. They are both seasoned veterans of the industry, they know with the curtains open like that - the pics will come. Anyways happy for them, a romantic story! I find it so sweet seeing how Nic can't wipe that smile off his face and everyone knows how 'cool' Nic is all the time!
There was hardly a dry eye at his concert way back when when he sang "Making Love Out of Nothing At All" and barely looked like he was hanging in there keeping the tears coming, when we all know just a month earlier Faye married Li Ya Peng. Not to be insensitive to their feelings..but it's not like Faye and Nic were cheating on their spouses with each other? They clearly reconciled wayy after their respective divorces...
@Solar - Perhaps because of the 2 boys that Cecilia is taking over parental duties on and Nic claims that he doesn't have time to visit his own boys, but yet have time to fly over 20 times to meet Faye. Clearly, priorities for Nic is not his sons.
In a way, I think both Nic and Fay are pretty messed up and really I think they deserve each other. I am by no means a Cecelia fan, just another Mom who kinda feels what Cecilia might be going through. She knows that she and Nic will never reconcile, however she is probably why Nic can spend so much time with Fay, but not with the boys. Regardless, I hope Cecilia finds a man who can raise the 2 boys with her and leave Nic with Fay. I think Nick might have actually loved Cecilia since the way he proposed to her was very romantic and they actually have 2 kids together. Too bad, Nick can't grow up and be a father but instead act like a kid himself.
