New year yet same old dating rumor to start things off on the second weekend. K-stars Gong Yoo and Jung Yumi were swept up in a wedding rumor today and both stars mutual agency has released an official response denying the rumor. An anonymous post claiming by an employee of Shilla Hotel saying that Gong Yoo reserved the famed venue for an upcoming wedding and the bride was to be Jung Yumi. Gong Yoo has had two major dating rumors in the last two decades, the first was with Im Soo Jung for the first half of his career and the second half has been dating rumors with Jung Yumi, who he has worked with twice in The Crucible and most recently in Train to Busan. They belong to the same agency and are openly close friends, even doing cameos in dramas for the other, and honestly their dating rumors have gone on for so long and so consistently I wouldn’t be surprised if they really are a couple. That doesn’t mean they are getting married soon but only time will tell, not now it’s still quick denials all around.

Song Joon ki and Song Hye Kyo did the same thing, they denied dating then surprise they announced a wedding. Not calling him old but Gong Yoo is already at an age that if he plans to marry he would.
In my opinion, SongSong did the right thing..If they admitted their relationship back then, there would be so much pressure and stupid fangirls & journalists would bother them (esp song hye kyo)...Woman's side suffers more in public relationships...

I have learnt a lesson that if they are consistently being rumored together, chances that they are a couple is indeed high. I did not believe Lee Jun Ki dated Jeon Hye Bin back then but they were rumored together since 2014 and resurfaced again in 2015 and boom, I should have known.
The rumors about Gong Yoo and Jung Yumi reminded me of Kim Nam Gil and Son Ye Jin who I believe dated for a period of time (despite both agencies denying) but now I think the relationship has gone down in flame and they are no longer being linked anymore. So I am going to apply the same belief with GY and JYM And come on, they are both of marrying age already and just the right time to settle down.

Yumi seems nice girl. Yoo Ah In and kang Dong Won were reported dating her several times just because they are close. In case of Yumi, I think she just a buddy for Gong Yoo. I don't see them as a couple by their interaction off screen. Yumi has this kinda tomboy aura that well matched with boys just like Han Ji Min or Song Ji Hyo. I really thought Yumi had a little crush on Eric since she just turn to be so 'girly' when he arounds. Anyway, wish the best for both of them.

Being honest, Eric is good looking enough but not that superbly handsome. Seeing him in variety show, I can understand why girls like him. He's gentle, calm and always take care of people and I see him more like a farther figure lol. Other girls who adores him are Yoona SNSD, Han Ji Min (he saved her life in car accident during film) and Yoon Eun Hye (they flirted a lot in X-Man variety show). I saw the interview of them during KBS drama awards where Yumi always ask Eric's help when she didn't know how to continue her sentences and Eric helped her a lot. So, I think this perhaps the reason why the girls adore him easily.By the way, I wont' be surprise if Gong Yoo and Yumi are real cpuple though. See their short clips in youtube. They always joke around comfortably. Maybe just like Song-Song couple, they will throw bomb anytime soon.

I always thought they were an on-off long term couple like Song Ye Jin and Kim Nam Gil. I wouldn't be surprised if they just dropped a wedding news one day. But for now looks like it's not.

I wanted a GongGong couple *Gong Hyo Jin/Gong Yoo but I really like these two also so...i'm actually happy with this news LOL. Its nice to read about him being linked to someone,, its exciting news to hear. Jung Yoo Mi was linked to Yoo Ah In and I honestly thought they would get together but I haven't heard about them lately.
