Actresses have to undergo so much hair and makeup each day, I can’t even image the wear and tear and/or damage done, if she does have thinning hair I have she gets treatment soon because female stars cannot even flirt with balding rumors.

It may be an illusion made from new hair being grey/silver that makes the gap big etc. Since she has been laying low, maybe haven’t gotten the color touch-up etc. I am glad she is well and took time to lay low. I hope she takes on interesting roles in the future.
Agree. It looks like the roots are grey. Her hair still seems thick looking at the braids.
It might be traction alopecia from too many tight/pulled hairstyles. I've seen women (usually older women) who suffered similar hair loss on top but the body of their hair was still way thicker than this.
She needs to get treatment stat and also consider changing her hair parting. And get a looser hairstyle if she wants to tie her hair back.
