Puff Guo and Jasper Liu Reunited for Upcoming TW-drama Before We Get Married
When I saw paparazzi pictures of Taiwan actress Puff Guo and actor Jasper Liu (Liu Yi Hao) filming in a part at night and being super cute and chatty it totally revved up my dormant Taiwan drama interest. The two charming actors are reuniting for a new 2019 GTV TW-drama called Before We Get Married (We Cannot Be Friends) a full four years since they did the warm and wonderful drama Pleasantly Surprised (Like, One Person). For me, TW-dramas rise and fall with the casting, skimming on relatively airy stories and resting on the charismatic laurels of the leads to carry a romance and make it meaningful to watch. With that said, I love these two so am checking back in with TW-dramas come early 2019 woo hoo!

Yay yay yay!!! I loved Pleasantly Surprised and was sad that they didn't do too many dramas after that. I cannot wait!
TW dramas are great because they tend to portray relationships more accurately than any other Asian based shows. Casting decisions seem to be based on the chemistry of the ensemble as a whole and not just the lead couple. It Started with a Kiss is a classic example. Each cast member seemed like they were hanging out with each other and genuinely enjoyed being together. When those pairings happen, TW dramas are magical and can't be touched. The problem is, recently, those castings are far and in between. Most commonly, the plots go from frothy and light to heavy and clunky in 0-60.
In an interview, the casts mentioned that they’ve been hitting the gym hard due to some skinship scenes mentioned by the director. Hehehe.
I can't wait! I love Pleasantly Surprised and was hoping they could work together again! :D Haven't been watching Tw dramas for a while and this would definitely bring me back!
