As a superstar and member of Johnny's he really shook the industry and defied everyone when he got married. New drama fans nowadays have no idea how big he was back in the late 90s / early 2000s. I'm glad it all worked out and he remains happy with his family.
Good for them! I remember it making news when SMAP disbanded, and that was when its members were all in their 40s. Can't imagine how much of a bigger fuss it would have caused to see an idol getting married in his 20s, it was controversial even when an Arashi member did it.
I was a fan of Shizuka Kudo’s music before SMAP and her Expose album was my first JPOP music that inspired me to learn Japanese in 1995. She got soooo much hate and still do for being with KimuTaku but I think they are well matched and both talented. I am glad they are are a happy family.
