Han Ji Min Confirms Dating Young Musician Choi Jung Hoon After Dispatch Releases Dating Pictures
This feels like a random slow day of summer dating release from tabloid Dispatch but it also isn’t one involving idols so always less likely to get any reaction from fans. Dispatch published pictures this week of K-actress Han Ji Min out on a date with musician Choi Jung Hoon, a member of the rock band Jannabi. Both sides then confirmed the relationship so that’s that, with the only fact of note being she is ten years older than him. This may be Han Ji Min’s only public relationship in her over two decade long acting career so congrats on her finding a man in real life and living her own best life.
He seems pretty chill and relaxed just like her. Makes sense. Hope it works out.

These actresses always seem to be dating/marrying beneath them. I guess it’s because ageism is so strong in SK.
How is them marrying on someone younger talks about ageism? I doubt she’s dating with him because she seek for young hot body, or something like that. And he’s not beneath her, they have different career’s paths.
As couples with age gap, there are also couples with the same age, as Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, Katty and Song Joong Ki. It’s just feelings, you know, love and all.
I saw video with them at some show, they were shy and cute.
No one is saying an actor is marrying beneath him when they marry someone 10-20 years younger than them. Choi Junghoon is the lead singer of a band that’s been popular for a few years now. They both have successful careers on their own right. No one is marrying beneath anyone.

Nuh, some people discuss actors like that as well. As soon as they knew about their age gap, they’ll start to talk about one person as a pervert or as a “korean Leonardo Di Caprio”, and about other as some commodity, which don’t have their own thoughts/opinion, and was “bought” by someone richer or older.
I saw comments calling a pervert Park Seo Joon for dating rumors with the same age gap as these two above. So Ji Sob, although people who watched video with his first meeting with his wife can say that he fell in love from the first sight. And with Song Joong Ki and Katty calling her “a trad wife”.
I think such people have some prejudice against age gap or finance gap (sometimes they’re right, but mostly not), and maybe they’re ageists themselves.
@Olesya1 I think people like what you describe are mostly mad because those celebrities didn’t marry someone they could ‘imagine themselves as’ or treat as a proxy/standin for themselves i.e. someone who’s not like them!
That’s why you get the terminally online whining about an age gap of 10+ years where the younger person is well into their 20s or even closer to 30, or people screaming that Song Joongki’s same-age wife is white/Italian and not as famous as him so they have to make it “problematic” somehow by calling 35 year old PSJ a ‘pervert’ for dating a 26 year old or declaring SJK must have cheated on his previous marriage or is racist somehow even though his previous wife was Korean and there’s no sign he even met his now wife until well after his divorce.

Hmm, it can be a case too. As someone 26 yo I always surprised how people reacting at 25+ person dating with someone 35+. As they think 25 yo people are teenagers or infantile idiots without their own will.
What about SJK, people got overemotional because of his second marriage, like they’re the one he divorced with.
I love this actress. Very underrated in terms of acting and beauty, but I love her in all the dramas I’ve seen her in. She is the same age range as Rain-KTH and BinJin so I always hoped she would find someone, too. This 10-year age gap reminds me of GHJ and Kevin Oh–and they’re married now!

You know, I was simply baffled when I saw the news, and everyone happy for her. I was like ‘didn’t she just confirm a break up like three seconds ago!!’. I am so amazed to realize that I had confused hwang Jung Eun with han ji min. The name didn’t register to me, I just kept seeing the picture and thinking she’s hwang Jung Eum…..woww, the resemblance is Soo intriguing.

The pic wasn’t from Dispatch. It was posted online the day before the news broke out online. Dispatch only released its report after BH Ent issued a confirmation that they were indeed dating.

I see Han Ji Min has had a 20 year career but I actually don’t think I have watched any of her dramas. I don’t really know either of them except a Jannabi song was used in ‘Moving’ drama.
I still can’t get my head around this news. Maybe because I have always hoped for one of my bias Han Ji Min to find the one for her. Some fans I know are disappointed but it is her life. I only wish her happiness. May CJH be the one for her. Life is short, she needs to enjoy it with someone who makes her happy.

Choi Junghoon’s father was convicted of fraud and served jail time. Knetz are calling HJM as the female LSG and there were a lot of comments that they disappointed that she’s sacrificing her squeaky clean image because of a man.

That’s so unfair. It’s not his fault that his father committed a crime and his father has served his time in prison so he has been punished for his crimes. From my understanding Choi Jung Hoon’s band is successful and he is earning his own money so it’s not like he is living off dirty money either so why should he be blamed.
