The release of The Demon Hunter’s Romance is now on day 4 and hasn’t been yanked yet so consider that confirmation of the tacit allowance that C-actress Song Zu Er is allowed back on television. Her other drama The Prisoner of Beauty is reportedly about to be airdropped as well and now there is industry casting news that Tencent is talking to Song Zu Er for an upcoming romance period drama. The drama is titled Wishing You Eternal Happiness (Chinese title 表妹万福 Biao Mei Wan Fu or Girl Cousin Full Happiness) and is adapted from the same name novel. This drama has gone through a few possible casting rumors including Wang Xing Yue with Tian Xi Wei and Xu Kai with Sabrina Chen so don’t think Song Zu Er may be final anytime soon. And right now the male lead being discussed has moved on to Zhou Yi Ran.
