First Poster for iQiyi Modern Romance C-drama My Queen, My Rules with Ao Rui Peng and Shen Yu Jie Gives off Sleek Sexy Vibes
The first poster for modern romance C-drama My Queen, My Rules is out and it looks typically glossy like all recent modern dramas. This was supposed to be an immediate reunion of Ao Rui Peng and Li Lan Di from their Coroner’s Diary popularity but while he said yes her side said no and the production has to scramble for a new female lead and hilariously it’s the second female lead Shen Yu Jie in CD. The drama is adapted from a C-novel of the same name so hopefully there are no big rewrites to change up the story from what made the book popular, and the two leads showcase strong chemistry.

I like ARP esp in costumes dramas. But I have to say I cant really feel chemistry between leads with his partnerships til this moment. Yes I also liked watching ARP & LLD but I cant say I felt so much for couple scenes or story in a way..
This kind of modern drama romance only works well if chemistry works and I hope it does for me…
After seeing how sexy this female lead is meant to look, I just can’t picture Li Lan di with this kind of visual. Not saying she is not pretty but the sexy approach just seems odd. So far her roles have been a certain type if I make any sense. Modern dramas can be sometimes really good or fairly bland due to business politics and such. Like koala says if the novel was fairly good hopefully the drama is too. But lately there have been a few dud adaptations. Hope for the best.
Not a fan of ARP or LLD, but I’m excited to see Shen Yu Jie, she is good from what I’ve seen from her so far, will be interesting to see her in a sexy role and this couple is already oozing chemistry from one lone poster, definitely looking forward to check this out.
I find it a bit weird for them to be paired up looking sultry since the were playing cousins with some nice sibling energy in Coroner’s Diary. Rarely is the second female lead a close relative of the male lead in a drama, so it’s sort of memorable.
