KBS Releases Smexy Lee Bum Soo and Yoon Si Yoon Prime Minister and I Stills
I think acting is a combination of talent and hard work. Some have talent and don’t need to put in as much hard work, while others learn by sheer willpower and experience. A lot of young stars (be it idols-turned-actors or just actors) tend to headline projects when they are not yet ready to carry the entire weight. Which is why I love when young stars I adore get a chance to play a second lead in dramas or movies opposite heavyweight actors or actresses and learn from the best. Nothing beats watching the best at the craft in action. Despite having multiple headlining dramas under his belt, Yoon Si Yoon is returning to second lead territory in the upcoming Prime Minister and I and I couldn’t be happier. In Baker King Kim Tak Goo, Me Too Flower, and Flower Boy Next Door, he was good-to-great but still much room for improvement. He couldn’t have picked a better sunbae to work with than Lee Bum Soo, who play be playing the titular Prime Minister while Yoon Si Yoon is his aide. I expect lots and lots of bromance and together screen time for the two of them, I’m thinking along the lines of Kim Bum working with his respected sunbaes Jung Woo Sung in Padam Padam and Jo In Sung in That Winter, The Wind Blows. I am actually warming up to Yoona in the promos but I would love to see these two male characters develop a political friendship much like the one between the King Lee Seung Gi and his bodyguard Jo Jung Seok in The King 2 Hearts. I love Lee Bum Soo so so much and his first solo stills from Prime Minister have just been released and I’m simulataneously rawring and squeeing. I love his suited look which harkens back to his Giant days and his Lee Gang Mo is still my favorite Lee Bum Soo character ever.

Yoon Shi Yoon looks so hot with that short hair, and Lee Boom Soo is sexy ajusi.
See I actually liked Yoona when she was in 9 Ends 2 Out and saw a lot of potential in her but I haven’t been able to warm up to her as an actress since then because she always acts the exact same way in every drama and hasn’t shown any in improvement in years. Hopefully working along Lee Bum Soo and Yoo Shi Yoon can lead to improvement similar to what I am seeing in Go Ara in Reply 1994 and Yonghwa in MHIYD. She is a genuinely nice person and the camera likes her so it would be great if she can finally develop into an actress that deserves the lead roles she has been getting rather than getting those roles on general likability and and company name.
Man…I’m gonna have a super hard time not shipping the second lead! I really, really like Yoo Shi Yoon! I hope they have a second female lead for him to look towards if he loses Yoona. 🙂

Me too, Giant is still one of my top 5 dramas for all the actors involved…it was where my ahjussi crush for lee beom soo started.
I know I’m very late, but I just marathoned Giant two weeks ago.. and damn, what an epic drama. “Gangmo ya”, still lingers through my mind whenever I ｓｅｅ Ｌｅｅ Ｂｕｍ Ｓｏｏ ｉｎ ａ ｓｕｉｔ. Ｗｈａｔ ａ ｇｒｅａｔ ｃｈａｒａｃｔｅｒ ｔｈａｔ ｉｓ!
In my opinion, this drama will have a great chemistry between Lee Bum soon and Yoona because in real life he lead his younger wife so he get use to it 😉 Plus second male lead can look up into this ahjussi great acting…so it will be great…I can’t wait to see this drama 🙂
so you said that Shi Yoon being second lead was for his sake…. yeah, you gave me reason to a bit like this show. but Yoona, OMG!!!! Could she act well???? I doubt it….
YSY looks so earnest with dark, short hair. I hope he gets to play this very serious without a lot of cuteness. Boy is cute enough without aegyo.

My fav LBS film is Oh! Brothers. He was LOL funny and heartbreaking.
