Lee Jong Seok to Make Special Appearance in K-movie The Witch 2 After Military Discharge in January 2021 — 8 Comments

    • Oh I loved Choi woo-shik in that role. That train scene was so intense but funny at the same time. The way he studied the girl with his eyes, the intimidation and that smirk, he was perfect for the role.

  1. I honestly think if LJS had been cast as Do San in Start Up, the fan wars wouldn’t have been so bad. He has the charisma to match KSH as Ji Pyeong.

I’m glad he is returning. I’ve missed him. Hope he picks a great project.

Also waiting for sequel to The Witch…so, good!!!

    • Nahhh, not at all. It’s not a NJH issue clearly. It’s a characterization thing not a charisma thing. Plus honestly, NHJ is pitch perfect for the nerdy, dorky guy. Even if I’m also in the other ship.

Also, LJS has done 3 of this writers drama. Thanks but no thanks. He really should move on and challenge himself after military. He’s done well with some PJs before enlisting. Going back to PHR is 1 step forward, 5 steps back.

  2. I wonder which drama he will pick? Will it be the Hong Sisters, Park Hae Young, or another? Personally, I hope it is the Park Hae Young one because it seems to be a melo, and I’m tired of seeing him in romcoms.

  3. I now realized that how important a Korean actor could make it before his military service, except for those who already finished the military service even before their debut.
An actor like LJS really make it in his 20s, although he had many competitors. LJS isn’t probably at KSH or LMH level. But, he is a big name in his own way.
That’s why he gets a lot of offers after his duty. He has talents and charisma on screen. I’m sure he could go even more far.

  4. I’m looking forward to seeing him again. I used to wonder about his popularity so I gave Romance is a bonus book a chance during quarantine and my goodness I was hooked! After that, I watched all his other dramas and all his movies. He is so talented with tons of charisma. I hope his rumored project with Song Hye Kyo pans out.
