Looks like Park Shin Hye is out of the traditional post-baby confinement period common in some Asian cultures and enjoying her hobbies even as a new mom. The actress gave birth on May 31st to the first child with her actor husband Choi Tae Joon, and reportedly she was seen in June at her brother’s wedding which would mark her first public outing since having a baby. This week she made her first update to her SNS account showing herself at a candle making shop creating her own custom candle which she showed pictures of as well. It’s very pretty but I’m assuming some of the dried flowers will need to be removed before lighting or the candle is intended solely for decor. Even under the mask and baseball cap she looks so young and it’s still incredible to think that she’s a wife and mom now. I’m glad she’s balancing baby caring with taking some fun time for herself.

i’m enjoying this phase of her life much more than i enjoyed any of her performances. i hope she’s able to rest and recover well, able to spend quality time with her baby and family, and comes back with more perspective and gusto to acting if she so chooses.
Until now, I still can’t believe that she’s a mom now…how time flies so quickly. Enjoy your new journey as a wife and mom but I hope to see you in a new drama or movie, not soon but whenever you feel like you’re already ready to come back.
