The Glory Supporting Actress Cha Joo Young Earns Her Limelight and Discusses the Steep Path to Acting Due to Later Start

I was so pleased to see this Allure Korea feature next month on K-actress Cha Joo Young, who plays the lowest totem member of the bully gang in The Glory. She is both the perpetrator and the victim and the character is fun to watch but it’s Cha Joo Young’s performance that elevates the role. The actress explained in an interview that she came into acting later than most, having graduated college and then decided she wanted to become an actress. She did not major in acting and basically just started doing auditions, most of which were hours long waits and super competitive. She was nervous going into The Glory because her role ended up being more substantive than she thought and she was surrounded by so many veteran sunbaes most with either educational or actual acting experience way beyond what she possessed. But she ended up really giving it her all and was quite relieved and pleased to feel she did rise to the occasion. I thoroughly enjoyed watching all her scenes so kudos to her getting recognition for The Glory.
