Well Liked Supporting Actress Cha Chung Hwa Ties the Knot with Financier Hubby in Wedding Attended by Many of Her Main Lead Costars

A big congrats to K-actress Cha Chung Hwa for her big day this weekend, she got married in Seoul in a non-public wedding to her financier husband after years of dating. Her agency released solo pictures or ones with her non-star hubby obscured and the occasion was full blown wedding ornate which she pulled off. She went for a Grace Kelly-esque full bodied lace wedding dress that she looked lovely in and didn’t overwhelm her at all. In attendance were many stars including top actress Shin Hye Sun who Cha Chung Hwa memorably starred in Mr. Queen and See You in My 19th Life together. Withing the happy couple a long and wonderful marriage.

    • Dang my bad! I was actually referring to the FL of both dramas mentioned in the blog. LOL. But this newly wedded supporting actress is a familiar face in K drama.

I’m still catching up K drama after a long break. There’re so many new faces to me. Shin Hae-sun is one of those.

      • I took a hiatus from drama for years to focus on my career and just resumed watching again, mostly C dramas in 2022, and K dramas mostly in 2023 after finding most C dramas are bad in quality. So I don’t know many new K actors yet. In the past, I liked Gong Hyo-jin and Son Ye-jin. Recently I’ve become a huge fan of Park Eun-bin. I’m also surprised to find Suzy making a quantum leap on her acting in Anna; I’m currently watching Doona and her progress in acting is consistently telling in this drama too. I’ve watched a few other K dramas. But the aforementioned actresses are more impressive to me. Oh forgot to mention Moon chae-won in Flower of Evil. Her chemistry with Lee Joon Gi was great. I liked her and Song Joong Ki in the Innocent Man too. Also, Han Hyo-joo seemed to have transformed herself into an amazing action actress in amazing Moving and Happiness. I have yet to watch The Glory. SHK seemed to hit another pinnacle of her career because of The Glory.

I may be missing other actresses whom I found pretty decent. But the above are just a few whose performances are unforgettable to me and their dramas satisfied my watching experience unlike most C drama that are snoozefests.

      • @Somebody Great choices! I like all the actresses you’ve mentioned especially the beautiful, talented, and underrated Moon Chae Won! Yeah I agree, I’m quite bored with Cdramas these days…

      • Flower of evil was a great drama , and Lee Jun Ki and Moon Chae Won were fantastic . I like Moon Chae Won too, at one time she was in high demand but for a reason she stayed very low key and i’d like to see her more often . But in the laps of 4 years there were plenty of new faces who appeared ! Park Eun Bin is also one of my Fav actresses since more a decade now . I like also Nam Ji Hyun , Go Ah Sung,Kim Se Jung , Kim Hee Sun , Park Kyu Young, Lee Elijah,…I watch various genres but i recommend Through the darkness, Blind, My liberation notes, The good detective, Taxi driver , Military Prosecutor Doberman,Dali and the cocky prince, Do you like Brahms ? She would never know ( i have soft spot for Ro Woon), 365 Repeat the year, The red Sleeve, Mouse, Under the queen’s umbrella

      • @cahil, Aw man you refreshed my memories of those beloved K actresses I watched before. Yes, yes, I watched the dramas of most of the actresses you mentioned. It’s been years. LOL. I feel like waking up from a coma losing memories of what I used to watch and like. hahaha.

Do you like Brahms? Yes, I do like Johannes Brahms A LOT who is one of my fav composers. I love his piano concertos and quintet. I’ve been playing classical piano myself since very young. His piano works are difficult to interpret. I love Brahms. LOL. I thought you were asking me the question before googling the drama. Thank you for the recommendation list. I’ll check out PEB’s Do You Like Brahms next after finishing Doona. I’m at the last ep of Doona. Suzy is worth my mention. I was among those who didn’t take Suzy seriously before. Wow she opened my eyes. Never dismiss any ppl who appear untalented!!!! Suzy said that she related to Doona, also an idol, and may quit entertainment career anytime like her character did in the drama. I wish her the best in whatever she does.

BTW, The Red Sleeve and Under the Queen’s Umbrella were the two K dramas I watched first after the hiatus. I liked both. Junho used to be my 2PM bias since he’s a great dancer and also a music guy who can compose that not every idol does. But I was never impressed by his acting back then. Junho in The Red Sleeve also surprised me. A big pleasant surprise. He’s really talented.
