So ever since Goblin in 2016 the two male leads Gong Yoo and Lee Dong Wook have been reunited for casual hangouts and even entertainment activity collaborations showing off their bromance and doubling up the good looking Korean man visuals. Seeing the onscreen and offscreen collab of Hyun Bin with Lee Dong Wook as the two attended the Harbin movie premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival TIFF just doesn’t hit the same lol, especially with Binnie being styled so insanely awful at TIFF I wonder how he was allowed to leave his hotel room much less walk a red carpet and attend a press conference. The slick back side part hair that makes his head look like one of those shrunken heads on The Jungle Cruise ride, the all black double breasted suit and shirt, and the return of 2004 wide legged suit pants is giving off massive you’re killing me ‘smalls cries for help. I do hope the movie is good and helps finish up the Korean box office strong this year when it premieres during the Christmas holiday season.

I will just look at Lee Dong Wook coz it’s not good to stare at married man hyun bin. I think it’s great to put two leading male actors in a film or drama. Makes it a double treat right. Got to use this formula more often.
or give actresse an equal chance by writing good female characters, too. Half the world is female and manages at least have of the work. with all the challenges, hurdles and potential to grow. They live a meaningful life, too. Why not create engaging stories with women? It’ll be great to see that represented in movies more, rather than them beeing reduced to love interests or beautiful decor in movies.
So, no, this “formula” of leading men (only) is used enough.
I watched many Korean movies, and the female characters are always way more interesting and deep than male leads unlike Hollywood movies where the focus is always on their bodies and sexiness
I agree on HB’s hairstyle, it was too slicked back. Maybe he didn’t bring his hairstylist with him during the trip.
His navy blue suit on the second day was alright, but I couldn’t get behind the navy loafers with no socks. I’ve always found the no socks with loafers look icky.
All that being said, good thing HB would look handsome even wearing a sack, so his good looks and height were able to eclipse his not-so-great outfits and hairstyle. I like that you can visibly see his wrinkles too, when he smiles. Aging like fine wine and (for now) staying away from botox.
