Iconic Japanese Actress and Singer Nakayama Miho Who Starred in Beloved 90’s Movie Love Letter Passes Away at 54 Years Old
Oh god this is such terribly sad news to hear and it’s definitely not been a good first week of December this year. Japanese news is reporting that actress and singer Nakayama Miho has passed away. She was 54 years old and found deceased in her home bathroom, the method by which is likely self-inflicted. She was scheduled for a concert today and when she missed her shinkansen her assistant went to her home and discovered the scene. Her last SNS post also indicated she was feeling down. She leaves behind one son who lives in France with her ex-husband. Nakayama Miho was an icon level Japanese star in the 90’s when her movie Love Letter conquered all of Asian cinema and even years later was seen as a VHS tape in people’s home movie collection. She also had a top career as a singer with many of her singles hitting number one and multiple albums selling huge numbers. I will always remember her biggest decade days fondly when she could be seen in movies, J-doramas, singing programs, and CFs plastered all over Asia. RIP and condolences to her family and fans.
So beautiful,I hope she finally find peace.
Sigh such similar news over a short span of time. May she rest in peace as well.
