Dilraba Dilmurat and Chen Xing Xu Partner Up for Investigative Hijinks in Preview for Modern C-drama Love on the Turquoise Land
Top C-actress Dilraba Dilmurat has been in the news a lot for the will she-won’t she big decision whether to renew her contract with her long time agency Jaywalk or head for new pastures. She has three completed C-dramas under Jaywalk on deck, Sword Rose which is the one longest on the shelf, the most recently completed Love Beyond the Grave, and the tonally interesting modern drama Love on the Turquoise Land. The last one also released a new trailer and poster last week as part of the Tencent preview festival and while it isn’t high on my radar since I normally don’t get too excited for modern dramas but once I saw the trailer I was actually intrigued. The trailer keeps the story close to the vest in terms of plot points and focused on the push-and-pull interaction with her and male lead Chen Xing Xu. It’s more comedic than expected and there seems to be a big mystery to be solved to keep things moving. The leads showcase chemistry and I like how her character comes across as smart and sassy.
Preview for Love on the Turquoise Land:

Dilraba is really working very hard… she is picking dramas with action pack female characters.
I’m really really excited about this drama, all its trailers look so good, they give off big budget drama vibes!
I feel the same. I am too looking forward to this.
The scene when she is pushing the window
Down in the car and he thought she was coming onto him.. too funny 😄
Oooh looking at the trailer, they DO have chemistry. I might check this out if reviews are ok
Really looking forward to this. I have read the novel and it is dark, thrill, creepy, and the way they were fighting with each other every time they meet is exciting. I can’t wait!! Please please please be good and more as in the novel~~~
They look like a much better match for each other than her other drama’s costar. Excited to watch this one. I love this genre.
