The Rumored Recent Breakup of Long Time C-ent Couple Zhang Xin Cheng and Li Lan Di Back in Gossip Pages with the CP Shipping in Her New Drama Coroner’s Diary
So one of the longer C-ent everyone knows but never confirmed dating couples reportedly broke up (for good) recently. In May 2025 a few months ago, gossip was saying that Li Lan Di and Zhang Xin Cheng broke up, this time it’s over for real. The couple dated for 7 years since doing a school youth romance drama in the early days of their acting career, and the relationship hasn’t been without the usual ups-and-downs and there have been numerous times gossip rags said they broke up but then they got back together. But this time even the industry pundits are saying the breakup is sticking, and may be a good thing for both but definitely for the timing of her career to be single when she has a popular drama The Coroner’s Diary airing where viewers are shipping her onscreen and offscreen with her male lead Ao Rui Peng. The two leads have been hitting up SNS and the promo circuit to lean into the CP ship when the drama still has strong buzz.
I am not interested in the love life of either of them. But I am glad that Li Lan Di is getting attention because of her performance in The Coroner’s Diary! I have not appreciated most of her dramas, but I have always looked forward to her participation in a decent project because she has been acting better than popular many actors for quite some time now.

I like watching both of their acting so very much! But I especially have soft spot for Li Lan Di.I really dont understand how is she so underrated with costume and youth dramas.Even work place would be great with her with her recent looks she going for.. Im glad new people joining her fandom after recent Coroner drama tho.
Its been long enough to be able to decide if a relationship is going where you want in your most beautiful ages so I wouldnt get surprise IF this rumor is real.

Genuine question, how can we know if data is being bought or not?
There are data groups in China that follow literally all released dramas, this has been going on for years now so they have a lot of research on how dramas usually perform. It is very easy for them to spot the discrepancies in the way data behaves compared to normal flows.
For example, platform X has heat that always oscilates, even if the general trend is rising. All dramas behave this way for this platform. You look at a graph and the curve goes up and down but generally rising. If you suddenly get a flat or straight rising curve, that is a clear signal the platform is messing with the natural heat. Just a random example but to illustrate.
This particular case is bad but it is not the first iQiyi drama this year with these issues so it is causing anger. It is simply too blatant.
The lead actors lack the popularity and fan base necessary to significantly influence the rating in their favor.

I enjoy a great number of Zhang Xin Cheng’s acting. He is a talented actor.
Anyone watching The Coroner’s Diary, how’s the drama so far? Despite the hoo-ha on fake data, I do see some good reviews about the early episodes but I haven’t gotten around to watching it yet. Currently have my hands full with new variety shows and Our Generation.
I’ve been watching it and now on ep 24. It’s pretty good. If there’s some good responses over it, i guess, it’s because people genuinely like this show. Not bcuz of ‘fake’ bla bla bla.
It looks like a low budget drama but is doing so well right now.

Exactly but his mom seems close to Wang Yuwen. Not surprised since she’s one of ZXC’s closest friends. Their parents are close too and like to go traveling together. Their relationship reminds me of their drama, You Are My Lover Friend.

They are both young. Seven years is a long time to try to make the relationship work. It’s better to find out now and break up rather than after marriage and with kids. I like both actors, low-profile and talented. They have even more time now to focus on their careers. Congrats to Li Lan Di on her drama success. I don’t know if anyone else is aware but Zhang Xin Cheng has some vocal talent to boot too. I’ve seen him in a few performances and he really impressed me as I only knew him originally as an actor.
