Lol, this casting feels like someone said something once and then another person went out of their way to make it a reality. K-ent is reporting that Song Joong Ki and Park Ji Hyun are confirmed to star in KBS weekend romance K-drama Love Cloud, to film later this year and airing in 2027. It’s a reunion of sorts for them from hit drama Reborn Rich in 2022 when he was the male lead and she was the second female lead. Back then viewers correctly noted that they had way better chemistry in that drama than he did with female lead Shin Hyun Bin, but that was primarily because Shin Hyun Bin (as always) had negative a million degrees zero chemistry with Song Joong Ki so basically Park Ji Hyun looked eons better in comparison. I don’t think I have this urge to see these two actually do a romance drama with each other but it’s happening so I hope it’s good. Park Ji Hyun is fine, she had her breakout year in 2022 first with Yumi’s Cells as the man stealing second female lead followed by Reborn Rich and since then has earned her award accolades with frenemies drama You and Everything Else opposite Kim Go Eun so she’s definitely female lead ready. I’m still waiting for another Song Joong Ki drama worth watching since RR and hope this could be it.
