Jung Hae In in Talks for Hometown Cha Cha Cha Production Team’s Rom-com Drama Mom’s Friend’s Son

So K-actor Jung Hae In gives off the quintessential white moonlight male lead vibe since his debut so it’s wild that he has NOT done a rom-com K-drama ever. That will change as he’s in talks for Mom’s Friend’s Son, a K-drama from the PD and screenwriter duo behind Hometown Cha Cha Cha. He was also in talks for a rom-com Some and Shopping but turned that down so he’s clearly looking to do that genre which I think is long overdue. I’m quite excited for this!

  1. I don’t care what he does or what he’s in I need to see him onscreen again. Those eyes have captured my soul for years.

    • He’s only a second male lead in While You Were Sleeping, but I fell in love with him because of that drama, his character there was so cute and such a walking green flag lol. You might want to check out WYWS, it’s a really good drama too, and the only bad thing I can say about it is that female lead Suzy wasn’t a good actress there yet (though she definitely improved leaps and bounds now). Something in the Rain/Noona who Buys Me Food is a good JHI drama as well! His chemistry with Son Ye Jin is lovely ☺️

    • Oh, and I think A Piece of Your Mind is an underrated drama too. It got low ratings during its run, but I personally liked it. If you don’t mind slow-burn type dramas, this one is good

      • Just finished Do You Like Brahms that is a slow-burn melodrama of old style. Action fans may not have patience to watch it. LOL. But I enjoyed the drama because of the acting and all the music scenes were so professionally done.

Thank you for the recommendation. I’ll check his drama with SYJ first.

    • I agree with IceCreamCake.

He was really good in While You Were Sleeping, second lead syndrom was hard :p

In Pretty Noona and One Spring Night, the couples were great, they look normal couple. Now, the PD adressed a lot of societal themes with the frustration that came with :p

His movie with Kim Go-Eun, Tune in For Love, was lovely. They had a great chemistry with his cameo in Goblin :p

    • I’m not such a fan of JHI, it depends on who he co-stars with.
A Piece Of Your Mind, so under-rated that they cut off last few episodes unfortunately, but I love Chae Soo Bin, and the slow romance is really unique.
Prison Playbook, he made quite an impression as a baddie, this is a great drama with an unforgettable ensemble casts.

    • Wow thank you all for so many recommendations. Now I’m adding more to-check-out list that’s already long. LOL. I’m currently watching Noona who buys me food. NWBMF is perhaps the best noona romance among all the C-, K-, and Taiwanese noona dramas I’ve ever watched. Pretty classic rom com! All the relationships in NWBMF were well written. SYJ never disappointed me. The vibes and chemistry between the couple are so lively, just like the way it should be and not cringe worthy at all as some noona romance C dramas I tried to watch. I actually watched the C version starring Angelababy and a less known ML but did not finish that series. Korean version is multiple-time way better than the C version, be it writing/directing, acting, or setting. I also watched a noona Romance C drama starring Yang Mi and Xu Kai. YM and XK had no chemistry and that one was a snoozefest.

I’m gonna have fun for a while on a binge with all these K dramas. Thanks again.

    • Tune in For Love with Kim Go Eun! For me, he has the best chemistry with her, as compared to his other female co-stars. And he was just sooo cute there, especially that scene where he takes her into his arms while she’s sleeping beside him. 🙂
