I’ll take any dose of C-actor Wu Lei even if it’s not in any upcoming C-dramas. This month he was pictures attending fashion events in Milan and also at the Shanghai International Film Festival back home, all sporting a new haircut that I’m divided about. I think he still looks good but the hair has too much messiness around the edges. It also makes him look like Xiao Zhan perhaps because I associate this hairstyle trend with Xiao Zhan. Wu Lei does look dashing and healthy and well-rested in all his appearances so boy is clearly living his best life even if not actively filming.
That haircut makes men’s faces look too long and their ears look like dumbo.
Sighhhhhhhhhhhh isn’t he always??? So dreamy.
Sometimes I wonder how I could have convinced myself he was ugly in the past just because his nose/side profile was unique in angles during dramas. Nothing ages well and charms more than a natural and unique face.
Swooning aside, I will say this hairstyle can be hit or miss because of how many ways it can be styled. It looks good so far. For example, in the Bulgari photos it’s more “side-sweep-corporate” whereas for Zegna the front was swooped back and given more volume, framing his face overall like a bad boy look.
Not a bad hairstyle for now, imo

Lol that’s a lot of editing on his nose. His is somewhat different.
People always complain women get all the flack for editing their photos. Let’s balance that out.
I thought there was something different.
Wolverine hair. LOL. I do agree with Koala, XZ sported this hair style quite a bit.
Doesn’t really go with Leo, though. Except with the black outfits.
I need to get younger. A lot younger. #feelingOldtheseDays
Wu Lei is coming along pretty well, though I do fear for him since the announcement of his newest movie Dongji Island. The other male lead isn’t nicknamed the C-movie Gatekeeper for nothing, he uses all kinds of tactics to stop other actors from rising up in the C-movie industry.
Zhu Yilong? Even if what you say is true, he’ll overshadow Wu Lei in terms of acting. But can you tell me more about his tactics? Is C-Ent shady?
Well, if his tactics prevent untalented idols from invading C-movies circulate, I wouldn’t mind. I suffered watching Wang Yibo acting alongside with Tony Leung and Zhou Xun.

He is a at best a mediocre actor but he is the most connected actor in cent.
He is also trash that has attacked people and their families and caused countless grief. Karma will hit him one day, I can’t wait. Already half the film industry can’t stand his toxic self. Tick tock.
@Ha Really? Do you have sources? I would like to read about it.
I see billing arguments of their fans
His team has a bunch of marketing accounts across diverse topics unrelated to C-ent such as feminism advocacy, history, teaching profession etc. Especially the feminist marketing accounts, they accused many other celebrities of being misogynistic yet all of them kept quiet when ZYL’s 三代还宗 rumours came out. For info, 三代还宗 is about his grandfather (family name Pi çš®) marrying into his grandmother’s wealthy family (family name Zhu 朱) under the agreement that their future descendants will follow the woman’s family name. However, people found out that now that his grandmother has passed away, ZYL secret son’s family name is Pi instead of Zhu, that means once his son inherits their family fortune, it will be under the Pi’s instead of Zhu’s. It is controversial because the Chinese equates carrying on the family name as continuing the family bloodline. Changing the family name to the man’s is essentially robbing a woman of her family assets AND bloodline, and also shows that these men couldn’t accept following a woman’s family name instead of a man’s.
Back to the marketing accounts across diverse topics. It is scary if you think about it, a bunch of people from the entertainment industry being able to manipulate the voices of other areas in the Chinese web on such a large scale. Says a lot about the power of his backing. If any other C-movies screening in the same period as his movie show signs of surpassing him, some scandals relating to those movies will pop up. Same goes for the rising actors doing movies. One of the biggest leader antis in XZ’s 227 incident is a fan of ZYL, she zeroed in on XZ after XZ’s Jade Dynasty garnered over 400m box office sales. Yi Yangqianxi (Jackson Yee), a competing rival who holds plenty of box office hits, also got hit with a special privileges debate over his initial acceptance into a highly sought-after public sector job. Jackson Yee has powerful backings too, mind you.
@What it is
Talk to Bai Yu fans and let them tell you the story of what happened to his father.
There are several male actors I like but Wu Lei is my all-time favorite. He’s handsome, talented and full of charisma.
Definitely beauty is a matter of personal taste because I have never found him handsome. Talented, no doubt.
Mine too. He’s super handsome to me as well. And there’s no question that he’s talented and versatile. Wu Lei is the only Chinese actor that I really follow.
