Zhao Lu Si Does Weibo Livestreams to Discuss Her Situation as C-netizens are Calling this the Buzziest Drama of the Summer Season
For C-actress Zhao Lu Si to use social media as her negotiating tactic of choice to try and terminate her agency contract has made her situation open for public commentary and feedback. After various social media posts and replies, she’s since held two livestreams on Weibo which has gotten millions of views. C-netizens are calling this the It Drama of the summer season, compared to interest and buzz in actual C-dramas airing. Some random tidbits from her livestream – she is willing to negotiate a termination (and even) litigate but the agency is giving her the silent treatment, if all else fails she’ll open a noodle restaurant, when asked if she’s had plastic surgery she says no, she gave money to a friend to start a dessert shop and was betrayed and sued by the friend, and she tried to work after getting better her illness (such as attending a music festival) but was criticized even more. Overall the C-netizen sentiment appears to be skewing more towards her side than her agency but it’s yet early to see how this will all resolve.
There’s one thing I don’t understand though. If she hires a lawyer for the contract termination and filed a lawsuit, her agency will have to respond, no?

To be very honest, even thru I am fond of watch Zao Lusi’s dramas…I dont understand half the thing she is saying…they just dont clink in legal sense… But I know her devoted fans understands everything…
I think majority of her fans are young. Their idol is like this already, yet they were still bragging about the traffic numbers generated by this incident on weibo. Like shouldn’t they be more concerned about their idol’s health instead?
I agree…many talk about her going back to acting quickly but it is clear she is not ready to take on intense dramas that involves half a year of very hard work.
She can do CFs but everything else needs to take time, cannot jump into it now.
@lilith, a member here keeps mentioning Zhao Lusi was ill due to Botox poisoning…was there such a rumour? Why would she need botox at this age?? I am pluzzed by that comment….
@HL As far as I know, there isn’t any confirmation of such rumors. I assume such rumors arise due to the changed appearance of her face.

The thing about her going back to acting is that right now, she isn’t the one deciding. No investor is going to approve of her in this situation, she is a major liability.
The market is horribly cold and even decently known names are finding it difficult to get jobs. She with her issues is absolutely not going to be anyone’s choice then. Too risky.

If things backfired, Lusi going online with this things wont do her any good. Authorities might said that she is declaring an incite and dont that in a light way. Hope the fans will continue to support her at the same time, keep things in favor of Lusi
She should stick to acting. She seems to far well in her previous venture for F&B, but if she is busy with acting, better stay away from it. Hope she can settle with her agency soon.
Whoever is advising her is doing a terrible job. She needs to shut up, get off weibo and let the lawyers do their thing, provided she actually has a leg to stand on. Which might be the real issue here and why she is livestreaming instead of going the legal way.
Cnetz are also definitely not on her side. She has made too many messes before this.

One thing about her is either she’s damn good at marketing or the person behind her is. Hahaha… these days her playing victim card looks just as good as when she played sick (obviously after her botox poisoning). She’s so good at pretending or really is a walking green tea. Yup! I’m leaning towards her side and wish her success in kicking her agency’s ass although chance may be low. I’m gonna watch her on screen, not her nugu agency though. LOL.
If we find out later that she is doing all this as an indirect promotion for her upcoming drama, I’m totally going to cancel her. Right now, staying neutral until concrete evidence is revealed.
I agree with you. I am staying neutral until more concrete evidence is revealed. A lot of entertainment news stories have unfolded to teach people who don’t have the inside scoop to reserve judgment until more of the truth surfaces. A most recent famous example that I can think of immediately is the Kim Sae Ron Kim Soo Hyun case. I’m pretty sure that ended up contrary to what many people initially believed or thought it to be.
Her note said the agency stole money from her, an unauthorized withdrawal. She said the agency tricked her accountant into transferring funds. It was the accountant, and not the agency stealing and it is authorized by the accountant. Fire your accountant.
Based on her own words, she does seem to have the law on her side… if she doesnt get a good lawyer to help her… I am very surprised.
