C-actress Xu Li Sa Exposes Xu Kai as Her Ex-Boyfriend and Cheated with Same Agency Actress Zhao Qing — 27 Comments

  1. See, maybe it’s my Western/British sensibility but I really don’t care who Xu Kai did or didn’t “open a room” with in 2022 or whenever. Well, no question, I’m curious, reading/replying shows this. I promise you, one hell of a lot of male British actors, female too, come to that, were doing the exact same thing, then and now. Likely way more often than Xu Kai.

OK, I get that China isn’t the UK but I’m pretty certain sex between consenting adults is going on there and is allowed, by law. What is it that fans want from actors/actresses exactly, not to have sex?

    • I think the mostly female audience of romance dramas tend to believe that the actor that plays the ML is obligatorily as honest, loyal and faithful as the drama character. I mean, let’s take a famous romance drama and imagine that the male main character cheats on the female main character or gets bored of her after 2-3 years. That would be realistic, but many viewers don’t want realism, they want the happily ever after. And they cannot fully realize that Xu Kai or whatever young hot actor is not his role, but a young man who is not bound to be loyal to one woman for eternity.

      • That’s probably true for many, however it really is (their) fantasy, not real life and when unpleasant, real-life actions disturb/shatter their fake illusion they can choose how to deal with it. Either continue to maintain the fake or accept that reality is different. The problem is what should the response be. Netizens seem to have power and they are wielding it, both for and against, irrespective of fake/real, how trivial/serious the ‘crime’ is. This phenomenon bothers me, a lot.

    • Chinese and many Asian countries tend to sell idol male actors as almost their fairytale characters. Also the fandom culture is hugely different and can often make or break an actors career. It’s probably more comparable to western boy bands. I think western actors are seen and sold as a professional. Unfortunately it’s a system…the chinese idol actors are sold as fantasy so they have to remain and expected to be as such.

  2. I just know that his new drama is doomed. The drama’s CP seemed to be doing good before. The drama could have been a small/medium hit.

Personal opinion: He’s already 30, he’s quite handsome, isn’t it normal to go out with girls? LOL. The coincidence is impressive so i think deliberate. She’s already won. Actors who don’t have connections really struggle to get out of this situation. Cnetz loves scandals and i believe won’t let the matter drop despite lawsuits.

  3. So, there will be negative fall-out for Xu Kai and possibly the named other woman/actress.

I’ve read that there are ‘morality’-based clauses in contracts, I guess this would come under that, so maybe sex really is a no-no because, in this day and age of mobile phones, etc., discretion is difficult and completely dependent on both sides honouring it.

  4. Anyway, I WILL watch the drama now, EVEN if it isn’t good. Sleep with whoever you like, Xu Kai AND Zhao Qing, your (personal) life should be your own and you shouldn’t have to owe netizens celibacy.

  5. Weaterners can think what they like, none of that is in any way relevant to China where a scandal like this could very well be career ending. He was way too careless. I feel bad for the guy, I really do, he should date who he likes and it shouldn’t matter but it is simply not how it is in his position. I don’t know if he can come back from this.

    • You’re right. But clearly Chinese actors and actresses are having intimate relationships outside of marriage. Anyone that is doing so, is taking a huge risk, irrespective of how careful/careless they are. Paranoia must be rampant, amongst the non-celibates.

  6. Wouldn’t this affect more the actresses than him? And 2022 is so long ago. If this affects the drama that would be so dumb. Celebrities are no saints but good grief that is their business and not mine. A drama is a drama.

  7. He is kinda known for being this way why would any female bother themselves with him after all that anyway. Im not saying its her mistake but its just mehh…
After all this chaos there were more funny updates like one of those girls talked about a guy being YuZheng’s Bai YueGuang XD that part was quite something…

  8. It’s his personal business, I don’t really care. Nothing she said makes him a criminal, just a terrible partner. I’m usually not a “CP” shipper either. Actors and their characters are separate entities. I like this kind of fantasy genre, so I’m quite enjoying it. By no means a masterpiece, but it kind of feels like I’m watching an anime. I don’t think it’s going to end his career, especially with Yu Zheng trying hard to protect one of his cash cows.

  9. Nobody really cares in China because everybody already knew Xukai was a fuckboy, he’s even had
a domestic abuse scandal where he hit his ex girlfriend which he admitted to and apologized to the ex (today she posted again reminding everyone of this old scandal) but Xukai has a lot of female fans who harrass his exes e.g. Xu Lisha the girl who exposed him for cheating today only did it because Xukai’s sasaeng fans kept posting in the comments section of her new Weibo vlogs telling her to stay quiet and stop posting because Xukai has a new drama out. These sasaengs follow Xukai around thus they know everything about him including the women he’s dated, even if they don’t sell that information to the media. They kept harassing Xu Lisha even after Xukai broke up with her and the post telling her keep quiet and stop posting because Xukai’s new drama aired had 7000+ likes on her Weibo, which is scary given that she’s an unknown actress? In other words she was bullied by his fans for years even after they broke up and decided to retaliate.

As for Xukai, he didn’t commit a crime but he’s a terrible person given that his ex girlfriend posted a long message from him where he admits he shouldn’t have hit her (there’s a photo of her cheek being bruised) and that he is still young and doesn’t know how to be a good boyfriend. This was a tiny scandal when he just debuted and his fans somehow whitewashed it as “Xukai got abused by his ex girlfriend”. Although he didn’t commit a crime that would end his career I lowkey dislike how women support ignoring problematic celebs like Chris Brown just because they are good-looking or talented and say things like “in the West it’s no big deal”…. No wonder regular men cheat and hit women everywhere, so many women don’t really mind after all and say it’s too uncool to care what famous men do privately.

    • It wasn’t his fans whitewashing him, but because there was evidence that his allegations violence were false. Fans don’t have that much power. You think in China, you get away with these just as easily. Even when you participate in national or state-related events, you’re searched like CIA. Although, i like reading rumors and gossip. We shouldn’t eat everything you read. He’s probably just imperfect or terrible person like you.

    • That’s not true. Xu Kai admitted that there was push and pull, but there’s no domestic violence. That ex-gf’s bruises and wounds came from a work injury she posted after they broke up but to her convenience being reposted as domestic violence’s evidence. And it’s more like that ex-girlfriend bullying him not the other way, looking at his drunk kneeling video and his head lock video.

    • Er what? This is all the talk in China, you can’t move anywhere on any of the sns without encountering numerous discussions about this.

  10. What many seems to dont understand and they had been watching Cdramas for awhile now..is that the actors/ celebrities in China has a moral code set by the government they need to adhere to and that comprises of both their private and public life. Dating as any normal adult is fine…but cheating( if that’s the case here) on your significant other or engaging in something that can be attempted SA and prostitution or sleeping around…can have land you in alot of hot water whether morally, criminally and even both…sometimes it only takes an allegation true or not to destroy their reputation and boom!!! They are blacklisted from the industry as they are now tainted or risk potential stars…So if this is just baseless allegations or misunderstandings towards Xu Kai…he needs to work fast to get things under control. And why do many fans think their Gege are innocent, upstanding, morally driven persons like the characters they play?? These men are the same like any other human that can mess up..and face with consequences for their actions…I wont say he’s guilty as these are accusations for now…but I also won’t swear he’s innocent as we dont know these people personally to even understand what they are capable of doing or not.

    • You are absolutely right. The only difference is that from reading her telling of the story, it didn’t feel like a real relationship but rather a friends with benefits situation. I mean, it’s not sure that both of them thought they were in a relationship 😁. But that may also be morally wrong for the image that the government wants the actors to maintain, as you say.

    • With regards to Government issued (moral) codes of conduct, those also exist in the UK – teachers for example are expected to follow them and yes, increasingly, social media in particular is the source of a lot of material used to attack people along similar lines – claims and allegations,photos/videos of supposed ‘bad behaviour’ in public.

Society is becoming more and more Orwellian – surveillance, cameras, paparazzi, over-nosy, censorial netizens… I’m a supporter of CCTV – not personally being a crime committer, it doesn’t bother me, but what does bother me is that people are so damning of others on the internet. That, along with a whole host of ‘crimes’, Netizens EVEN seem to think it’s wrong that famous people actually dare to hold hands or kiss or enter hotels, seemingly as a couple, etc.. AND demanding they should be punished for those actions.

  11. I’m not even slightly surprised with this news. But curious, actors nowadays seem to like influencer-type so much.
Is it her face? Or douyin makeup or tiktok’s filter?

Entertainment world, how many pure people are still there trying to keep their dignity in that world?
I think, only one of them who thought they were an item. Another one probably only for fun.
But Xu Kai used to have a gossip with Zhao Qing back then. But went to hotel for practicing script is a dedication LMAO

  12. My personal take here is that if you have a beef with your ex, go file a lawsuit with your evidence of emotional abuse cause at the end, whether it was the truth but the way she handled it, it looks like a cyberlibel lawsuit is on the way and the girl is at edge here. She mentioned two names so best of luck on that.

  13. What’s the ruckus? Everybody is being a busybody again?! I checked out this drama. It was surprisingly intriguing the first few minutes into ep 1. TXW fits the role and exuded unique charisma from the get go that is really appealing to me. I’d never liked her acting or any of her dramas before. But in this one, she has delivered the right amount of expression and strong presence so far. Besides, both XZ and she look stunningly beautiful as one should expect from leading actors in idol costume dramas.

Who cares about how XK ever f*cked up any damsels when he got off work? That was his private life. Did he rape anybody? Did he get on high or feed addicts with drugs? Did he murder any nugu? If he’s never committed any crimes that should be condemned by the court, then just leave him alone. Busybodies talked about his affairs like XK’s ex’s dumbed by him too. LOL.

Moonlit Reunion is surprisingly fun to watch. The genre is my cup of tea and everything so far is doing well to get my attention. I’ll continue to follow the drama. It has looked very promising to be an interesting drama so far.
