The first posters and teaser preview is out for Hunan TV period C-drama A Ming Dynasty Adventure (明月录 Ming Yue Lu) and I’m really liking it! Leads Wang Chu Ran and Xin Yun Lai project solid onscreen presence and chemistry and the visuals are on point, colorful without being gaudy. The drama is adapted from a novel with the hilarious title of Return to Before My Husband Castrated Himself and is a rebirth of the female lead story where she gets to enact her revenge the second time around without having her man turned into an eunuch in the palace. Win and win if you ask me! There are so many on deck and currently filming C-dramas with fresh pairings that I’m interested in so every time I remember to update on one it is a nice reminder of what’s to come.
