After MBC‘s tonally insensitive start for the most recent Wed-Thurs drama The Man Who Dies to Live, which premiered at the top of the ratings for that time slot and kept the lead to the end, there isn’t much Hospital Ship can do to top that shaky launch. It is lucky in that KBS is failing miserably with Manhole and SBS with Reunited Worlds is towards the end of that run so unlikely to lure in many new viewers now, so all Hospital Ship needs to do is not set sail with a giant leaky script or acting hole and it’ll likely win the ratings race. The full set of drama posters are out and in addition to the first one with Ha Ji Won and three male leads Kang Min Hyuk, Lee Seo Won, and Kim In Shik, another one features just Ha Ji Won framed in the setting sun off an ocean vista and the other is the full cast on their traveling hospital ship. It’s nothing terribly exciting or terrible so I’ll keep my expectations firmly level still for this drama premiering next week.
I want this drama to do so well for Ha Ji Won’s sake.. it seems recently it’s really hard for dramas

Hospital Ship will easily take the number 1 spot because MBC is currently leading in Wed-Thurs timeslot and their drama competitors had no star power. While You were sleeping will premiere on last week of Sept so for the meantime HS can enjoy the lead. Im looking forward for WYWS the most because its from the writer of Dream High and I hear your voice.
Looking forward to this drama! I have trust on the writer (same one who penned Hwang Jin Yi) and of course Ha Ji Won. Really hope the young cast won’t ruin the drama for me.
I love the ambiance of the 3 teasers. Ha Ji Won worked a lot to be prepared to her role.
I guess we are a little bit suspicious about the rest of the cast… But KMH never disapointed me until now, Lee Seo Won was a scene stealer in Uncontrallably Fond and The Liar and his Lover, so I have hope !
