One week I’m teasing K-actress Kim Yoo Jung about sartorial fails at Seoul Fashion Week and the next its time to write about her next project at her day job. It’s been over a year since her last drama which happened to be mega hit sageuk Moonlight Drawn by Clouds, and earlier this year she dodged a bullet by turning down School 2017. Maybe adaptations are good luck project picks for her with Moonlight having been adapted from the same name novel, and now Kim Yoo Jung has been offered the leading lady role in upcoming jTBC rom-com based on the webtoon First Let’s Clean with Passion (Let’s Clean with Passion First). The webtoon is about the romance of a germaphobic male lead who owns a cleaning company who falls for a messy 4D girl with an optimistic and can-do attitude. I can handle the letter as long as it’s not Nodame level messy otherwise that triggers my mild OCD, but from the sound of it this could be a cute K-drama and Kim Yoo Jung’s participation will definitely make me more keen to check it out.
Hope to see her soon! She seems to be picky about dramas so who knows if she will take this.

Guesses on the male lead. My guess is on jung hae in (who is super popular with his role in WYWS) or yoo shi yoo. I just hope they cast a baby face actor because the age difference will look really weird otherwise. Yoojung has a baby face. Maybe an idol will be okay too since they have that youthful vibe. I’m honestly sick of these chaebol vs poor girl dramas but JTBC seems to be doing well these days in making unique dramas so we will see.

It’s not like she dodged a bullet with School 2017. There’s no she could’ve played that role as well as Sejeong did and create chemistry with the male lead like that. I’m glad she turned that role down.

I think so too. I think she has so much potential and should play antagonist roles to show a different side of her acting. Some of her peers such as Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron have had more variety and I think this would be good for her too.
Hm, going by the synopsis, its hard to picture Yoojung play as the female lead without being paired by much older actor. I mean the male lead is a ceo, right? It only makes sense if he is at least in the last 20s.
The synopsis sounds cute but I wish they’d go with an older actress. Love KYJ but I would rather have her play a teen role.
