Advertising Genius Lee Tae Baek Releases Energetic Fun Teasers

I tried watching a few episodes of School 2013 and while it wasn’t bad I was strangely disengaged from it all. I wonder if I’m currently not in the mood for a nice school drama? Whatever the reason, I’ll probably marathon it at some point if the mood hits, but until then I’m not invested in its ending this week but I am totally counting down the days until its follow up drama Advertising Genius Lee Tae Baek premieres. Starring Jin Goo, Jo Hyun Jae, Park Ha Sun, and Han Chae Young, this one looks like a straight up underdog workplace romance/success story with two sets of leads. Jin Goo is the country bumpkin aiming to succeed by hard work, Park Ha Sun is the daughter of a chaebol that hides her identity to work her way up the ladder, Jo Hyun Jae has the smart advertising executive back from the US to continue his family’s ad agency dominance, and Han Chae Young is an ambitious ad director who uses her willpower and ability to rise up through the ranks. I read the character descriptions and the love lines are all going to be tangled, kinda like Protect the Boss. Jo Hyun Jae’s character is back from the US and intends to marry rich Park Ha Sun because they grew up together and that will strengthen their family alliance, except she gets involved with Jin Goo. But Jin Goo only wants to succeed in the ad business because his ex-girlfriend Han Chae Young left him to pursue career success and he wants another chance with her. And Han Chae Young intends to seduce rich Jo Hyun Jae to further climb her way up the corporate ladder. Oy vey, this looks awesomely convoluted and right up my alley. Of course I’m totally rooting for Jo Hyun Jae and Han Chae Young’s characters to get together, not to mention being able to enjoy them in the same drama without wanting to cringe from the fashion disaster that was Only You. Ah, those were the days. I must say the cast looks great and appears to have loads of chemistry already. Check out the two colorful and fun teasers below which definitely give off a PtB vibe but with less kooky characters. Continue reading
