Written Preview for Episode 10 of Spy Myung Wol

I really appreciate all the thoughtful and considerate responses to my predicament about dropping my Spy Myung Wol recaps. The last time I considered dropping a recap (for 49 Days), people started insulting my taste in dramas and being generally very rude. Thank you Spy-ers for being very cool about it. As such, I am definitely not going to recap SMW anymore, but I will keep bringing written preview and video previews for the drama until it finishes, as appreciation for how awesome the Spy fans are. And perhaps something else as well, so stay tuned.

Written preview for episode 10:

As Kang Woo and In Ah’s “relationship” is the talk of the town, Myung Wol sinks into an emotional exhaustion. But Myung Wol remains undeterred, continuing with her plans to marry Kang Woo.

On the other hand, Hee Bok and Ok Soon become members of the Anti In Ah-Kang Woo Fan Club and begin to plot their next moves to split up Kang Woo and In Ah.

At the filming set for the new drama, because a female actress is involved in a car accident and cannot film, Myung Wol steps in for the role. Even in this situation, Kang Woo cannot take back his feelings for Myung Wol….

Written Preview for Episode 10 of Spy Myung Wol — 23 Comments

  1. Thanks for keeping the motivation to post the preview for us! I agree with you.. At the beginning I was totally excited about this new drama, it seemed fresh and appealing but right now.. I feel like we’re seeing the same thing again and again .. 🙁 I hope they will develop MW and KW relationship nicely and end it beautifully!

  2. I totally understand. Drama time is precious, so better to invest it in ones that will have a consistently good storyline/plot throughout. 🙂

P.S. Thanks for the preview recap.

  3. Meh, that’s it I am jumping ship!!! If you are not going to recap anymore I don’t wanna watch it, to be honest I only made it this far because of your recaps I love reading them but the drama is getting ridiculous now, I hate how they portray Myung Wol as a weakling when it comes to Kang Woo, for heavens sake it’s a drama so let her kick some ass like she is trained to do. Anyway thank you for the recaps so far and I will still daily haunt your site anyway for other info LOL:))))

  4. Thanks for this and for future updates.

I watched 8 really fast. I think I understood the gist of what was happending, thought am still trying to figure out why MW kept the ring…

It is always interesting to me that even though you are volunteering your time, energy and talents for no cost no membership no promise of fealty, people feel they can insult you and order you around.

  5. I understand Koala… I myself is thinking if I will still watch out for this drama or not. 🙁 I hate what they did for this one. I was so excited upon its announcement… huhuhu. What happened? :((

  6. i don’t even know where this drama went. ugh -__-. it makes me so sad. this drama was awesome. it had quirkiness and humor and a plot that i loved but, i don’t know. it’s a bit frustrating. i guess too many chefs in the kitchen with 5 writers. i feel like they could have done so much with the end of episode 8, but with the re-firing. ugh, i just…yeah.
    thank you koala :]

  7. Well all the SMW fans can always read the recaps at dramabeans if they want! I think I’m going to give this show 2 more chances with this week’s episodes and if it doesn’t improve or dare-i-say-it gets any worse I will probably be dropping too.

Now if only I could get my hands on some subs for Protect the Boss I could still meet my romcom quota! I want to see that one sooooo bad.

      • I know, right? You can watch on viki.com which has the first two episodes almost completely subbed but I want to download softsubs to watch on my tv! I’m just spoiled like that. Plus, the viki vids don’t work for those outside the US I think.

  8. thanks for the written preview Koala. For me, even though SPW not as fun as LTM to watch, I am still curious to see how the story will end.

I am also watching Scent of Woman now, which I find is very good, much better compare to SPW and Heartstrings…and the next one in the target is Protect The Boss…. 🙂

  9. oh God, i was thinking of dropping this drama but becoz it is visually entertaining the (cast and cinematography) i kept downloading it in 720 all the while consuming the internet bandwith of our internet shop for hours -_-
(poor customers) i dont what to feel or think in this drama. .i need a break..il probably read the recaps courtesy of dramabeans and u of course.. -_-

  10. Hi, first time commenter here. I discovered this blog during the “May dramas frenzy” and have regularly visited for drama updates and news. ^_^

I wanted to like SMY, and I did like the first few episodes. I found it wacky and campy. But somewhere along the way, I just lost interest in it and just found myself reading the recaps. Reading the latest preview, I think I just got tired that the plot just seemed to go around in circles, with MW thinking of ways to get KW to marry her and KW deflecting all her advances. I guess I wanted MW to have succeeded in marrying KW by now, focus a bit on their married life, then deal with the aftermath when KW finds out MW’s a spy and her mission.

I’ll probably just wait for the drama to end first and just read recaps for now, before deciding whether I watch the remaining episodes are not. Thank you for the recaps you’ve provided of SMW so far. ^_^

  11. thanks for the recap and the baby recap…we’ll just have to wait for DB to recap SMW…
i think even if at times i am getting tired with the whole thing about getting KW to marry her…i’ve put in 9 eps already and will watch this till the end…
they’re just too pretty to look at! wish they can put more action scenes too to liven it up more…
    can’t wait for tomorrow’s eps…

  12. Fire rehire fire rehire fire become her acting coach …um did I miss like a bunch of episodes or something? ?? Sheesh!!!

  13. nonetheless, sistah, i am still tuning in here 🙂
thank you always for bringing such wonderful recaps 🙂
thank you for giving your time and effort on SMW,
one can only do so much when you are not really into SMW…
thinking that you even made a baby recap for ep9 was
    a great job already.
    your forever fan,
    nonski 🙂 aja! aja!

  14. Okaay , i don’t understand this part ” Even in this situation, Kang Woo cannot take back his feelings for Myung Wol…. ” Well , i’m slow . Hee . Hope , you guys can tell me what it means (:

  15. The video preview is out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUeoatsRYxg

That kiss by Eric looks waaay less interesting than his previous one in Que serà, séra: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDgwCEN-2KU . Yeah, I know, this link is totally random, well, more an attempt to grin because SMW has become such an unentertaining drama and a disappointment, despite the cast’s solid acting. And Shinhwa’s gonna release their new album shortly so we might get moar of Eric (and Junjin) in the media soon. 😀

  16. Thx for the preview!! I really do appreciate you doing this 😀
As for this series I don’t know where its going… I will continue watching but, Well I wish they would go back on track, I think there is enough plot points to go on with, (the books, the secret, the kidnapping…) but they’re just adding more and the story isn’t going anywhere much 🙁 I still like the characters though

  17. thanks so much for your recaps …i check in on you every day….this show started off soooo cute, campy, zany and fun then took a dive into sheer redundancy!!!! what the hell happened????!!! i guess i’ll be going to DB for the recaps ….am into Protect the Boss and Scent of a Woman right now …..so far they are bother pretty good. But will still be checking in on you daily…..your like one of those “One a Day Vitamins” for my Kdrama fix!!!

  18. “The last time I considered dropping a recap (for 49 Days), people started insulting my taste in dramas and being generally very rude.”

well, they’re not incorrect. you do have bad taste. i mean, you stuck with lie to me (religiously) AND you’re dropping spy myung wol. if that’s not bad taste… but hey, there’s this generation gap so i understand

but i do admire you for delivering really fast recaps. plus taking the time to make baby recaps for SMW…
