Written Preview for Bride of the Century Episode 11

The written preview is out for Bride of the Century episode 11 and it’s as deliciously tantalizing as always. Clearly Doo Rim has to explain the whole substitute princess bit to Kang Joo and gain his forgiveness, especially how it went as far as her marrying Kang Joo as Yi Kyung. But now that President Ma has kidnapped Doo Rim and put Yi Kyung in her place, I also put the onus on Kang Joo to recognize his own wife. Doo Rim’s deception is her own burden to bear with Kang Joo, but the man has vowed eternal love for the woman he married through thick and thin. If he immediately accepts a doppleganger as her with no questions asked, I’ll be rather disappointed in him. Plus Yi Kyung is such a cold fish! Even Roo Mi has a teensy bit more fire in her with the way she threw herself at Kang Joo and backhugged him. Looks like Roo Mi knows when to cut her losses and move on as she appears to turn to the good side in episode 11. Not only did Kang Joo marry Doo Rim, then curse didn’t come true and Doo Rim is alive and well. That leaves Roo Mi with nothing left short of murdering Doo Rim so that she can become the second bride through force rather than supernatural intervention, and I don’t see Roo Mi as a homicidal sociopath. Thank god this is a drama so I can accept that President Ma and Yi Kyung think they can squirrel Doo Rim away forever and Kang Joo won’t suspect his wife is a different woman. There are still tons more mysteries to solve, such as how Kang Joo’s dad’s first wife died and what she wrote in the last page of her diary, as well as how Doo Rim’s halmoni fits into this whole batshit insane world of curses and ghosts and plotting rich ladies.

Written preview for episode 11:

Roo Mi sees how Doo Rim is willing to risk her life to be with Kang Joo and is touched and decides to help Doo Rim. She reminds Kang Joo about the wedding ring. Kang Joo initially dismisses what Roo Mi said but gradually feels something is suspicious about Yi Kyung. She’s not wearing their ring, she doesn’t eat roasted sweet potatoes, and her eyes and expressions are all different. He takes her to the cake kiss park and asks her what happened here that night but Yi Kyung doesn’t know. Right as Kang Joo is about to kiss Yi Kyung, he asks “Who are you?”

Written Preview for Bride of the Century Episode 11 — 58 Comments

  1. Thanks so much for posting the recaps and the previews! Loving this drama SO much! Can’t wait for Fridays & Saturdays. Watching raw & reading your recaps until the subbed versions are posted. Sure wish Viki had it instead of Dramafever.

    • Same feeling here, living and breathing for any scrap of info on BotC, I too wished Viki had it, coz everyone can view them, whereas Dramafever you have to be in the USA. KJ must realize that YK is not DR..I hope he loves her enough to forgive her straight away, and realize the evil plotting of both his mum and president Ma, who really ins’t his mother-in-law, i hope there is none of this upsetting never forgive you marlarkey! he just happy to have his DR back and the future is bright for both.

      • Is Viki viewable from anywhere? Cause I’m in Southeast Asia. The last time I checked it can’t be view.

      • If you go onto Koreandrama.com, it will show all latest K-drama, most of which are streamed by Viki, except for BotC, which can be view raw via Dailymotion (in Koreandrama.com).
Try Dramacrazy.eu, Gooddrama.net both these websites are full English Sub, they don’t do raw episodes, but you have to wait for them to show BotC late Monday evening. I hope I’m making sense!

      • Nope. Just checked it. On Koreandrama.com the Viki stream is not available for peeps outside the US, in my case Europe.
Best sides for us are Dramafire.com and drama.net. Both are very fast.

Dramafever announces availability for my country since October last year. First targeted start was November. I am still waiting….

      • Hi Newbie, I’m in the UK and Koreandrama.com Viki stream does work, I think sometimes it show not available in your country, but just exit and reload again on whichever K-drama you want, don’t click on the Dramafever part because that’s definitely a no-no!

        Goodluck with it x

  2. Yey!first one t comment.mmmmhhh president ma & yk hate soooo much bt i hop kj wl see the difference btwn the 2 women.as for doo rim i knw she ws wrong bt the gal is in love,t b willing t die bcs u lov sm1?dts a huge sacrifice.kj has the right t b angry bt mst also understand why dm did wht she dd.tnx koala…xoxo

  3. Oh thank goodness Kang Joo starts noticing the differences. It would be sad if he couldn’t tell his wife apart from her doppelganger.

  4. Who are you? *imaginary car screeches to a stop on the ashpalt*

Oh that question just kills me and i die and return, in a good way. Of course he would be able to recognize that everything is totally wrong with the woman he loves. The signs will definitely be as bare as an open back. Thanks so much ockoala, this post just made my night.

Once again ‘Who are you?’ Boo to the yah!!!!!

    • I’m also sooooo freaking happy that he wasn’t able to tell the first switch but can definitely tell second switch and that he probably thought it was his imagination!! And it took another person to say …
“hey…it’s NOT the same person”!! Love Love Love this Drama!! Specially since it doesn’t let things lag.
      Thank You Miss Koala

  5. The fascinating thing about Crack Bride of the Century is that yes, it is a “batshit insane world,” but it follows some sort of twisty internal logic so we can’t let go of our fascination. For example, it is totally cray that eeevil moms have conspired to kidnap KJ’s bride and replace her with the cold fish that looks exactly like her – but then, in a totally logical move, KJ appears to observe the differences and notice that something is definitely Afoot. So the drama is, I guess, sensical in its nonsensical-ness.

  6. I knew I wrote Roo Mi off the murderer’s list for a reason. She may have been in love with Kang Ju and wanted to be his wife, but she’s not heartless. I think her conversation with Doo Rim the night before the wedding made her feel odd. I am thankful the writers aren’t making her into the typical secondary lead with a one-sided love issue.

  7. I can’t thank you enough to recommend this great show! I think both otp has more chemistry then the otp from you came from the star! The pace of the show is great not a single wasted episode so far. I stop watching empress ki since it is dragging too long and it is going to end sadly. Botc is the only show I look forward to every week. I hope it will be great till the end!! The girl who plays yk/dr is a pleasant surprise and I am looking forward to seeing more of her performance…

    • Ditto for me! I wasn’t even considering watching this until ockoala raved about it, so I had to take a look at it even though I wasn’t expecting much. And now I’m even posting comments, which I had never done before, either! OTP is really sweet & adorable – probably one of my faves in recent memory. Hong Ki is quite handsome in BotC. Such a convoluted but interesting story line. I just hope for a happy ending (even though there are several episodes left – yay!) – for me it’s all about the happy ending…

  8. The curse would then be the murderous families of the second bride of the Chois! Kang Joo’s grandma probably killed the first Choi bride so that her daughter could be the Choi daughter-in-law.

Actually the logic is a bit off- get a nobody to marry the first son in anticipation of the bride being offed the first night so he can marry the woman his family chooses. Son lives in misery his whole life married to a woman he does not love while pining for his lost love – new bride gets to be the legit daughter-in-law blessed by the family with a husband that is not interested in her. A new sport? ‘The Bridal Games’?

    • LOL!!! your spot on about all three generations of the Choi family first born son all married poor girls, with the rich bitches being the shadow 2nd bride.

    • I am guessing either Roo Mi told her or that Kang Ju mum had someone follow the newly wedded couple (remember someone taking pictures outside church)and that person also saw the kidnapping and the bitchy Yi Kung go to the hospital instead of our bride Doo Rim.

  9. I’m disappointed that Kang Joo would need Roo Mi’s hints about the ring and going to the park to notice he has the wrong wife. He’s been so romantic and touchy-feely with Doo Rim that he should be able to tell from the first hug.

    • But if this happens in real life, you would at most feel really really odd as to why this person you thought you knew very well is acting so strange. You won’t even suspect that she could be someone else because things like that just don’t happen. Sometimes it takes an outsider to plant the seed of thought in you before you even entertain the thought of something like this could even be happening. 🙂

  10. I need this and more more more!

It almost makes sense that RM – realizing that KJ did not marry just anyone for beezaniss, but for love – would recognize that DR is worth helping. After all, RM has been with cold chaebol boy all her grown life and never saw him relaxed and happy. She hated YK, but not this lovely lovely “country” girl.

Kang ju really is the man. His “Who (the hell) are you?” when he pulled the fencing helmet off DR in his bedroom is actually the point I fell for him. It’s awesome he asks it again – only this time he’s NOT intrigued but pissed.

  11. arhhhhhggggg!!! fhdkjjjshjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjb’asjlaks
    that’s all i can say.
why Kangju(Hongki) and Doorim(Jinsung) are so perfect for each other? why? 2 more days to go.

  12. Im not at all convinced that RM has turned good to help DR and KJ. I think shes only telling KJ so he would separate with DR so she would have a chance with him. As if she was all good then she would of told KJ earlier b4 they got married. By the waywhat does otp mean?

  13. That look when KJ asked Who are you in the video preview, he looked so horrified, tormented, desperate even. What went through his mind? Where did his Doo Rim disappear to, was it the curse after all…

  14. OTP- one true pair, I think. I’m still new to this!! Love Lee Hong Ki since WGM, his voice makes me happy! His smile is adorable and this show is truly CRACK!!

  15. Damn..i’m getting deeply in love and attached with this drama..cant hardly wait for the next episode an your recap ockoala ssi..

  16. I can’t stop myself just reading all your comments guys… I also wanted to say how I’m loving this and getting so freaking excited that Friday would come..this drama and the Otp is awesome!!!!!! Love love love…

  17. I like the part “who are you” … arrrgggg.. today is just Wednesday! I am dying here!!! can’t wait to see that idiot Yi Kyung’s face when Kang Joo found out the truth! kkkk i sound evil here

  18. Ok this is my guess, I think Kang Ju fell in love with Doo Rim at his Grandfathers memorial service, because she was not the pretty princess, but helpfull future daughter-in-law, cutting fish, giving great aunt a piggy-back ride, changing her wet clothes, and magic moment when he fell for her was when he watched her sleep.

Second guess is definitely was in love with her before cake eating in park otherwise he wouldn’t of kissed her both there and at the concert (where he was rather jealous of her easy/cuteness/happy self with her oppa….and he mentioned why she didn’t just spend the rest of her life with her oppa after he rescued her from the floor)

  19. Regarding what the 2nd gen bride wrote, could it be abt the ghost telling her same thing as doo rim that there is no curse but it’s about evil greedy pple coveting the daughter-in-law post which put her in danger.

  20. So sweet of you to write the preview for us. I am looking forward for the next episode. 1.5 days to go before is Friday. Certainly, hope that KangJoo will forgive DooRim and hope for a happy and nice ending. This Friday besides BotC, In a good way also looks good

  21. Easy she is allergic to cats and also Hopeful she did not put the kiss in the park on her cheat sheet. But then Cold fish did not think she needed it.

  22. There are others that know the backstory on Na Doo Rim and YK besides Roo Mi. In the last episode YH called Jin Joo (Doo Rim’s friend) to give her an update on the wedding night/situation. She understood that there was something going down with President Ma that was not good for Doo Rm. She asked where Kang Ju was…that she would try to find him….maybe she also plays a part in unmasking the swap. Hope she does….

  23. I know this is k drama and not real life but am I the only one who isn’t completely cheering doorim on? Aren’t her actions selfish? She claims to love kj but this love is built on a huge big lie. She keeps saying she wants to hold on to kj and cannot let him go ( it was all abt “me”. It wasn’t as if the deception was to protect kj or something–that Wd be easier to forgive )but has she really considered how hurt he’s going to be when eventually he finds out? Esp when he doesn’t trust easily in the first place. She had plenty of chances to come clean but she wanted to wait till after the wedding?? I kind of hope kj gives her a really hard time when the truth is revealed. Otherwise it Wd appear that the means justifies the end and pple can/should lie and deceive someone they love in order to hold on to that person….n when they much later come clean all should be forgiven bcos they did it out of “love”

    • Actually she wants to confess to him but unfortunately he received a phone call that his grandmother is rush to the hospital. It must be selfish in her part, but at the same token this is the only chance she got to have him, She risked her life to be with him out of love and also KJ did the same thing, they took a chance knowing she will die. I call it eternal love. I can’t wait for the next.

    • i kind of understand what you said..honestly i have the same feelings as you. as much as i rooting for DR and KJ and all their lovely scenes, but i really feel uncomfortable to see how DR is still pretending to be YK till they’ve got married. yes you’ re right she had plenty of chances to tell the true to KJ.and KJ didnt deserve to be treated like that. he did the best for his love so far.i cant imagine how hurt he is. i cant blame him if he will hate and leave her if the truth is revealed.Pretending to be YK and deceive him is wrong in first place, but if doo rim didnt come to KJ’s life, he will never know what love is, he will never experience how to laughing, hurting, and missing someone in his life. and if doo rim didnt continue to lie to him, to think again, he didnt know how much he loves doo rim, and yes..of course he will leave and hate her, but i believe it will hurt his own heart twice, and i believe doo rim want to tell him about the true so badly. nonetheless basicly doo rim is a kindhearted and lovely girl and our kang ju needs someone like doo rim around him, they are meant to each other.

    • ya same, i will like it better if they married after she had come clean. Feels like there’s no strong enough reason for her to delay coming clean
