First Drama Stills for 2017 Drama Remake of My Sassy Girl Shows Oh Yeon Seo and Joo Won Attractively in Character

The Joseon sassy girl is here, and so is her not-so-hapless this time around male lead. The first drama stills are out for the pre-filmed 2017 sageuk remake of hit classic Korean movie My Sassy Girl which launched the careers of Jeon Ji Hyun and Cha Tae Hyun. The drama version went though some leading lady casting pains, with a publicly announced audition for a newbie leading lady yielding a relative rookie landing the role only to get fired and replaced with veteran leading lady Oh Yeon Seo.

The drama also went from a China-Korean joint production back to being a Korean investment only. The only consistent element has been Joo Won signing on as the male lead from the get go and remaining through the casting ups and downs. I’m glad that Oh Yeon Seo is doing this sassy role after her fabulous turn in Come Back Ahjusshi, loved her to pieces there and can’t wait to see her take on being a troublemaker in the Joseon era.
