I know the key word right now is “social distancing” to keep safe from viral spread but Taiwan has been getting kudos for the early and vigilant response to the COVID-19 spread since end of December. I would know, I was there and it was immediate and noticeable. That means cases remain low and everyone is careful with life mostly back to normal, schools in session and work places buzzing. That also means folks are doing normal social gatherings and last week Rainie Yang posted such a heartwarming picture of her hanging out with fellow TW-stars Ariel Lin, Michelle Chen, and Joe Cheng. They are known to be good friends and it always brings a smile to my face when we see the 2000s line of TW idol drama gang hanging out.

Joe Cheng will forever live in my heart as Kui of the The Rose . It was tragic that such a beautiful drama was ruined by a bland unattractive leading man.
