Nam Da Reum is Kim Sae Ron’s Leading Man in Upcoming Kakao TV Drama Shaman Girl Ga Soo Shim

Woweeee, finally a casting duo that is a win on all fronts. Kim Sae Ron‘s upcoming high school supernatural drama Shaman Girl Ga Doo Shim has it’s leading man and it’s the long overdue elevation of Nam Da Reum to headline billing. He is only 19 years old but that makes him just a year younger than Kim Sae Ron, and both are still within the age range to believably don the high school uniform still. Love love this casting, she’s so underrated as one of the top child actresses of her generation and he’s just impeccable in every role where a child or teen version of the male lead is needed. In fact, his last turn as the younger Kim Sun Ho in Start-Up understandably won him praise and transitioned perfectly into the adult version. The two are heading into production now as the drama is slated to air on Kakao TV in June.

    • Uh, no. Just between lover had a different child actress. The one who played the younger shin hye sun in still 17

  2. Finally, Kim Sae-ron is getting an age-appropriate leading man. Although, weirdly enough, she is the older one in the pairing this time.

  3. This is a weird combination and not in a good way. He’s 2003 born and she’s 2000 born. The age gap is weird because he’s barely legal but this is high school so okay. I would have preferred Lee Re as the female lead. She’s also the better actor and has more charisma for roles like this. This is basically a web drama for rookies.

    • Erm hes born in 2002. Shes born in 2000. 2 year age gap between them. He’s 20 in korean age. Definitely legal.

  4. Thank goodness he finally has the lead role. He almost always gets the raw end of the deal in those traumatised childhood flashback roles.

They are both experienced actors. The only thing is his height. I noticed that if an actor is not very tall they don’t get many leading roles. And I can’t find any mention of him being taller than 163cm.

  5. Finally NDR! This kid is so talented. He can be reading lines for a shampoo commercial and his talent will still shine lol.

  6. Hope this will be Sae Ron’s chance to bring back her popularity because the other two Kims are so big right now with consistent major leading lady roles for the past 5 years.
