tVN K-drama Happiness with Han Hyo Joo and Park Hyung Sik Release New Poster and First Ominous Trailer

Most K-dramas telegraph with giant neon blinking lights what it’s genre and concept is, so it’s a refreshing and kinda nervous approach I see with upcoming tvN drama Happiness. With such a title it screams bright and happy human drama type but alas it’s anything but. The story is set in a modern high rise residential building where the two leads Park Hyung Sik and Han Hyo Joo live. Both are police officers and get to use their detective and survival skills when a disease starts to spread, and honestly they are better off calling it a zombie drama off the bat. Jo Woo Jin is the head of the health department who plays a big role in the outbreak. The second poster above is nicely framing the three leads through the window into the apartment high rise, and the very first preview below is fantastic and brings the slow rolling fog of doom blanketing this drama world.

  1. This is looking phenomenal. I’m beyond excited, especially because it’s been so long since we saw Han Hyo Joo and Park Hyung Sik. Good that both are good actors.

  2. Happiness and Reflection of You are 2 dramas whose synopsis and description I keep reading but still don’t understand what the plot is. The teasers don’t help either is it just me? I’m so confused what is the story about!

    • It actually makes me curious and become eager to watch the first two episodes to know what the deama
Is all about. The posters are very nice and the teaser is good too as well the use of bgm. Hoping this will not be a letdown.

  3. teaser looks promising! but def seems like a rehash of any zombie pic. since its only 12 episodes tho, I’m expecting the plot/writing to be tight. also, not sure how much romance there’ll be but hoping its just enough to appease my need to see two pretty people get together lol

  4. Han Hyo Joo has a talent for picking good projects despite her mediocre acting talent so I will be checking this out as I always do with her dramas

  5. I love Han Hyo Joo’s acting, I think she’s really good at letting the audience feel what her character is feeling without over-emoting. Her characters are all very different but feel like complete, believable real people, and she’s good at showing you what they are like inside (regardless of what they are like outside). She’s had some characters I really instinctively loved, and some that would really intimidate me in real life, but by the end of the movie or drama, I always come away feeling like I understand that kind of person more. As for the rest of the cast, I’m excited to see that they too are made of not just pretty faces, but people who can ACT. The idea of watching people lose it while quarantined during a pandemic is ummm not exactly fictional to me anymore, lol. But this drama is absolutely on my calendar.

  6. Admittedly the drama title is a bit head-scratching, but the posters and teases are intriguing and nicely done.

Park Hyung Sik is actually one of the handful idols turned actors along with D. O. of EXO, Siwan of Ze:A and Juno of 2 PM who are considered good actors. I believe both him and Han Hyo Joo are able to complement each other and turn in great performances with their comeback project. Fighting!
