K-drama The Girl Downstairs Adapted From Webtoon Lee Doona Confirms Casting of Suzy, Yang Se Jong, and Lee Yoo Bi
The casting flood continues in K-ent this week and another drama has finalized the main lead roles. Suzy was already confirmed for The Girl Downstairs, the K-drama adaptation of webtoon Lee Doona, and now her male lead is the just returned from military service Yang Se Jong. Also joining is Lee Yoo Bi who will be playing the second female lead. The story is about a top girl group center who quits her entertainment career and moves into a student share house to attend university and the romance that blossoms with her house mate. K-netizens who read the webtoon say the casting of the two leads are spot on so that makes me happy on top of me liking both Suzy and Yang Se Jong. Lee Yoo Bi seems to have put her female lead days behind her and taking memorable turns as second female lead such as in Yumi’s Cells and she’s doing a great job in that niche.

I like Lee Yoo Bi (she was so good as Crybaby Bo Young!) so I hope this will be a great SFL role leading to mains like Start-Up was for Good Boy (minus the later… badness) or Business Proposal will be for Seol In Ah. And Yang Se Jong is always really solid.
So excited for this one! The male lead looks like Baker King Tak Gu in the photo thought it was him at first glance. He and Suzy look great together. Will Lee Yoo bi’s character gonna be like Ruby? She’s good at baby talking annoying aegyo stuff.

Lol all I see is Yang Se Jong’s name ? Thank drama gods he’s finally been cast in a drama after a long time! I don’t really care much about anything else, I’m just excited to see him in another project again ?
Very impressed with him in everything I’ve seen him in, plus he’s such a cutie, so this is automatically going to my to-watch list lol

Second female lead is Choi Ira, right?
Actually at the 1st and 2nd season the 2nd FL is not really clear. Both were there. But its probably Margo for now. Ira is more relevant in their romance in the latest season. I’m just curious as to how the writer will put together all the season, or its just gonna be the 1st – chunk of 2nd season? –
