New week new drama stills and this one is for upcoming MBC drama Big Mouth. I don’t know why but I keep thinking this is a tvN drama it just fits that network’s vibe more but lately MBC has been throwing money into promotions more. Big Mouth arrives in late July taking over the Fri-Sat time slot from Doctor Lawyer which surprisingly has gone up in ratings again, it’s definitely as bipolar as it’s titular character and concept haha. The first stills of Big Mouth leading lady Yoona are here a week after the production released the first look at male lead Lee Jong Seok, they play a married couple and together must weather the storm of his third rate lawyer suddenly being accused of being a criminal mastermind. Yoona has improved SO MUCH since her debut as an actress that even if she’s still nowhere near thespian level she absolutely warrants me giving her a chance with any new project that interests me.

People may look up to MBC after TRS’s success ( both rating and critical acclaim)
MBC’s confidence may have gone up too .
For big mouth, it is the chance Yoona will have her chance to prove her improvement in acting department.
Because dramas ,unlike movies, have long duration of airing time for leading roles as well as less screen supported by veteran actors.
So leading actors need certain level of charisma to bring audience.
Her bandmates ,Yuri ,Soyoung & Soohyun become better with time.

Read the news several days ago, have been waiting for so long for this drama, will be fun watch.
Doctor lawyer is an intelligent drama, no maekjang revenge, SSR is teaming with SJS to take down the same guy, SJS reason we know but SSR purpose is not known yet but it is more than eating up that bad guy business. The writing is good, plot development is good, acting is good, SSR is not crazy guy but cool n intelligent, witness did not get kill off, dialogue is good, n 1st win for SJS against the bad guy, there is progress towards his goal, mystery are revealed early, next week will reveal who is the vvip got the heart that SJS was mislead to transplant. Viewers increase, they know not to miss a good human drama.
I feel like people don’t give her enough credit cause shes an ex idol.Yoona is one of the most solid comedic actresses around, she is such a joy to watch when she has fun with her character. That’s why all her most praised performances by critics have comedic touch. I hope this drama is not too heavy cause she can be hit or miss when doing melodramatic roles.
I swear she looks the same in every drama. She is just so boring as an actress .
