Screenwriter Im Sung Han of the Crazy Makjang Dramas Gets Upset at K-reporters for Misreporting Her Next Drama Fairy Durian as the Romance of a Mother-in-law and Her Daughter-in-law

Lololol I love this news story because there is so much meta especially when one knows the drama writing background of screenwriter Im Sung Han. She’s the writer of hit dramas Love ft. Marriage & Divorce, Princess Aurora, New Tales of Gisaeng, The Jewel Family and many more dramas that always throws the characters into the deep end of the makjang abyss. K-ent this week reported that she is working on her next drama Fairy Durian (I’m dying with the title alone) and said it was the bold and taboo shattering romance of a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. Like, WTF, that makes a lesbian romance not even the most taboo of the two the most being the in-law relationship wowsers! A day after the news broke Im Sung Han went on a rampage and claimed the reporters misreported what the drama is about, it’s the romance of a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law with other people after they time travel to the past together. So the groundbreaking part if the time travel. The leads in talk for the drama is Kim Min Joon and Park Joo Mi and I dunno the first synopsis seems way more interesting heh.

  2. Da fuq is a Fairy Durian lololol. Im surprised she didn’t yell at the reporters for misreporting the name of her drama as well.

  3. i love Durian but what’s the metaphor behind Durian that is related to this drama?

anyway Durian is love, Durian is life 🫢

  4. LOL, the story would be major makjang if involving romance between MIL and DIL, no way any producers would want to fund it, the idea is too…Jerry Springer for Korea to accept LOL

  5. Durian out of all fruits?

I can’t comprehend the relation. Durian is known for its acquired taste and the strong smell and as far as I know, East Asians dislike durian unlike we, Southeast Asians who love durians so very much. Durian is SEA national fruit.

So, please, don’t insult durian and leave durian out of this madness. #ProtectDurian

  6. I love Durian fruit, but I won’t like the jagganim who will tarnish the image of durian into a morbid title like this. I just don’t even understand why on earth the screenwriters are running out of ideas and resorting to this morbid kind of script where a dil and a mil will hv a romantic relationship (if this really is the premise of the story). For the love of humanity, it is still a great choice if a story will give a positive impact to viewers.

  7. “Durian” is probably the name of the drama’s heroine, like “Doo Ri-an” because Lim Sung-ham has an affinity of giving strange names to her characters.

  8. Wow, it’s about time travel and they omitted the crucial plot point. Lol.
I understand why she is mad, her drama is already weird as it is, even with the general description.
Having the description changes from time travel to Yuri is definitely something to complaint

  9. If there’s a fruit entitled to get a fairy for its own, let it be Durian. Durian deserves it. Please don’t change the title, writernim. Let the in laws go time travel to find the love of their lives. Be it love among themselves or their other half who suddenly got amnesia because of the truck of doom that carry durians

  10. For me who come from a Durian country, this is a funny title in epic proportions. Please don’t give durian a bad name. Giggles.
