tvN has put the big budget big production K-drama The Queen of Tears on its 2023 schedule formally, squeezing it in at the end of the year in December 2023. The drama was already anticipated coming from screenwriter Park Ji Eun of Crash Landing on You, Legend of the Blue Sea, and You From Another Star, then it got even bigger with the casting of leads Kim Ji Won and Kim Soo Hyun. Not to mention it’s directed by the PD of Vincenzo and Little Women so the visuals are also in capable hands. The two leads play a married couple, he is the most successful young man to come out of his little village and now works for a chaebol conglomerate as legal director and she’s running the family department store segment, the drama follows their miraculous love through a suspenseful and thrilling situation.
My most anticipated kdrama this year!

I’m really excited for this one! So many amazing dramas (at least on paper) for the year, but this one’s the most exciting. The leads are already great, but the writer-PD combo has all my hopes up. PJE is probably my fav writer and YFAS my fav drama, but she’s also written the absolute gem in Producers + CLOY. So yea, very very excited for this and I absolutely cannot wait!
