Kyaaaaaa, my wish totally just came true! Kim Woo Bin and Suzy are confirmed for the next hit screenwriter Kim Eun Sook penned K-drama. It’s a fantasy romance titled All Your Wishes Will Come True (Wishes Granted by Genie) and will air in 2024. It’s a fantasy story with an emotional genie in a bottle runs across a stoic woman who can let him out. The two get tangled up in three wishes and their opposite personalities and predicaments. I cannot wait for this as I am still traumatized by their last outing Uncontrollably Fond which was lackluster for the majority of the run and had the most amazing final two episodes that made me dehydrated from crying so I needed an IV drip.
Everything except the director sound perfect for this drama. Please don’t be a KEH/LEB pair up which completely failed the highly awaited JJHx2 pair. This director is too wacky and KES writes swoony, cheesy romance dramas without much substance. No toilet jokes and over the top humor please. KES/LEB would have been a better combination since this has Goblin level fantasy vibes. This kind of drama needs to focus on the visuals and not try to be too many things at once.

The synopsis reminds me the movie Three Thousand Years of Longing.
I’m probably in the minority, but I felt like the chemistry was severely lacking between KWB and Suzy in Uncontrollably Fond. Idk if the acting or the script at fault, but probably a bit of both. But the more concerning matter is this mismatched director and writer combo. One is known for over the top comedy and the other writes cheesy romance. I hope this doesn’t turn out to be like The King: Eternal Monarch, comedy version.
