Ooooh, I love this gritty and bold vibe for the character posters just released by jTBC for the K-drama Good Boy. The six main leads are Park Bo Gum, Kim So Hyun, Lee Sang Yi, Heo Sung Tae, Oh Jung Se, and Tae Won Seok with the majority playing former Olympic level sporting champs turned cops. It’s been a few years since K-dramas did a true sports or sports-adjacent drama and I’m thinking of Stove League, Racket Boys, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, and Twenty Five, Twenty One as standouts for doing the genre so well. I hope Good Boy is even better than good when it airs, what with this stacked cast and a network that actually has a track record of producing nuanced quality fare.
Setting high expectations for this drama because the cast, director, writer and promo materials are excellent! Apart from The WLGT and WHC2 this year has been lacklustre and a good action, romance, comedy is just what was needed!

I noticed they each have a symbol that shows what olympic sport they did. Boxing, shooting, wrestling, bowling…etc. All except for Oh Jung Se. His is an X. Anyone know what that might mean? Or, if it does correlate to a sport, which sport it might be? Super excited for this drama!

yeah he is not a former athlete like the rest. and he will play the villain role in this drama.
