SBS Fri-Sat Horror Thriller Drama Revenant with Kim Tae Ri and Oh Jung Se Hit 11% Ratings in Episode 3
So I’m watching both Sat-Sun new dramas See You in My 19th Life and King the Land, enjoying both for their different aesthetics and lures. I thought I would wait to marathon recently premiered SBS Fri-Sat horror drama Revenant (The Devil or The Demon) because summer isn’t exactly conducive to scary stories for me and also I didn’t want to get hooked. Well like a siren luring me in, I couldn’t help but press play on episode 1 and the rest is history – THIS DRAMA IS AWESOME!!! Like, the best kind of crack, scary, slow burn and lots of detective work on the supernatural front to figure out the demon/devil spirit killing people left and right through decades and probably lots of trauma behind it. The acting of leads Kim Tae Ri and Oh Jung Se are shiver inducing top notch, this is likely going to be the K-drama of the first half of the summer for me.
I love it too. Usually horror dramas are not my cup of tea, but this one is really good, and the actors are great. I’ve been waiting for episode 3, and I cannot remember the last time I was so interested in a drama.
Koala why do you keep reporting about TV viewership. Sis nobody watches TV in this day and age. It is a bygone era and nobody even within the Commercial industry count on TV viewership only to sell stuff. To many streaming platforms and people are netizens based and that is how they consume entertainment.
I literally watched it as soon as I wake up to see the new episode. So hooked on the folklore and shaman tales in Korean history. Love Oh Jung Se so calm and composed yet when he met the spirit that killed his mother, he was scared but speak the right words to hook the spirit. So addictive the storyline – each episode Gu Sanyeong digs deeper into her father’s worked and one day would unravel what happened between her mother and father.
