To date K-actor Yoo Ah In‘s drug use scandal and now legal case is probably both the most famous K-star and the most serious level of drug use allegations. He has reportedly hired top expensive defense lawyers and hasn’t pled guilty so let’s see how his team tries to mitigate his legal trouble. The first trial date has been set for later this month and there is also news this week about a drama he filmed prior to his scandal. It’s called Goodbye Earth airing on Netflix and was shelved after his problems came to light. A news article claims that the drama is planning to air in April 2024 and will mostly edit Yoo Ah In out as much as possible.

Is it a Netflix production? Just air it in the U.S. I’d still like to watch it with YAI in it. Block it in Korea and other countries who have banned him.
I wonder how the drama will manage to air 12 episodes without any cast reshoots and cutting scenes of the ML. I guess they can cut down the episodes and try to patch up the story and transitions as best as they can.
YAI had less than 1/3 screen time, so it shouldn’t be too disruptive. His ML screentime was similar to his in Hellbound.
If that’s the case, it’s doable then. Based on the names, I did not think it was an ensemble-type of drama and assumed it was the typical 4 main actors driving the screen time and story. I initially read that since Ahn Eunjin shot most of her scenes with him, hence the challenge. And since now she is the main name draw, her story and scenes should be still one of the focus.
