So it’s a relief that this cast for the C-drama Kill My Sins is basically solid across the board and has no problematic stars in the mix. Now the drama just has to be actually good and it’ll be one of those watches that doesn’t come with baggage. Kill My Sins kicked off filming this week with leads Liu Shi Shi and Shawn Dou with supporting leads Zheng Ye Cheng and Xuan Lu. The color scheme in the teaser poster is so pink it seems rather incongruous with a drama title like Kill My Sins lol but this is one of the few S+ C-dramas productions this year in 2024 so definitely a lot of attention and buzz around it in a good way.
I love the Tang or Song? hat with the modern outfit. I am trying to learn the dynasties thru the costumes. The only dynasty I can tell right off the bat is the Qing with the half shaved head. I love the Tang and Song era costumes and aesthetics. Royal Nirvana was worth watching just for the costumes.
I wish Chinese would start wearing their traditional dress more. India is great that way. Most of them still wear their beautiful traditional dress and jewelry. With globalization the world is becoming too generic with everyone dressing the same way.
I usually can recognise the dynasty via the female costumes most of the time. Only the Han Chinese-ruled dynasties male costumes are slightly more difficult for me to identify. I think the issue with Chinese traditional dresses is that most of the designs are not practical for daily wear in modern days. Imagine dragging long flowy dresses through the dirt on the ground and having to lift up layers of clothes when you go to the washrooms.
Not excited about Shawn Dou….. although I like Zheng ye cheng…
may this one be another one of those where the second male lead steals the male lead’s thunder because ZYC is overdue for his three-seconds of liu liang fame to make the leap to the next tier of good projects as male lead!
I loved him in Killing of 3000 crows. If ZYC’s role steals the main lead’s thunder, hopefully he won’t have a bunch of haters accusing him of stealing scenes. 😂

@rei 😂😂 Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I totally find him good looking and attractive, more so than some of the current actors so I like this pairing. Also age appropriate opposite LSS.

Liu shi shi is definitely super A list…. I wanna see her opposite age appropriate actors like Chen Xiao…maybe even Luo Yunxi.. I realize she is tall so you will need tall and charismatic actors too

He married a rich HK wife but they dated for quite a while prior…I have not heard of any scandal involving him.

He looks ok and acts ok but maybe when you have such a large pool of ultra good looking and talented actors, it’s hard to stand out…..
