In C-slang “smacking shirt” means to wear the same outfit, and it happens often enough with the actresses but fairly rarely with the actors. But in the same week actors Gong Jun and Deng Wei not only fully smacked shirt, they smacked in the most ostentatious way possible with all hot pink suit ensemble. Hate to tell these two that the Barbie craze was last summer and so over now lol. C-netizens are saying Gong Jun won this battle on visuals while Deng Wei’s fans are keeping this hot on the search and news just for a any publicity is good publicity for their star.
Gong Jun can’t act and neither can Deng Wei but unlike him, Gong Jun knows how to wear clothes. Much better.
Also lol DW’s face won’t last much longer. Dude way overdid the plastic surgery.
Going by visuals alone, Gong Jun wins this one hands down.
His acting isn’t the best (to remain polite) but he has charisma to sell and can pull off loud colours.

GJ does looks better between the two in vibing the pink color, but the outfit itself looks better in GJ’s close up shot. DW matches more of the black and white color tones instead of bright colors.
Not worn the same week. Deng Wei just happens to wear it for a Charles Tilbury where the theme is pink. The hotsearch was bought by GongJun’s team with a tagline to promote his new drama…which they eventually removed.

This is not meant to be an insult, so DW fans please don’t come at me. There’s something about his face/look that I feel really fits ancient costumes. I don’t find him as attractive when he’s in modern day attire.
Gong Jun’s fit is better. It’s tailored better, makes better use of layers and he’s wearing the look as a three piece suit with a waistcoat. DW’s looks kind of sloppy

it’s been TWO YEARS (at least) since Gong Jun wore that outfit, I remember it pretty well, it’s an outfit hard to overlook. I don’t know what kind of media play is this, but I’m guessing the blame isn’t on GJ’s team. Yikes.
They did not wear this same week. GJ wore this 2-3 years ago from LV which he’s an ambassador for. It was eye catching back then since not too many can pull it off so credit to him. DW wore it this week and somebody decided to link the two together to create fanwar. At most this would be DW paying tribute to GJ outfit but certainly not a clash considering it’s different time, event, and brand. It is slightly embarrassing for DW since the brand also happens to be another brand that GJ reps as well. And then I think GJ fans started co-opting the hashtag to redirect attn to his new drama that happen to wrap up. But get your facts straight please instead of spreading unchecked gossip.
When people want to use you as a stepping stone, you should be proud coz it proves you are the target they want to reach and surpass. Gong Jun should be proud even if it is annoying. He should take it as practice because if Chang Hua Sen is the ML2 is his next drama, he’s gonna learn that this right now is merely child’s play. GJ better get ready
