Song Hye Kyo May Reunite with Screenwriter Noh Hee Kyung in New Drama Marking Third Time Working Together

It’s been a week of big K-drama casting news so far and top actress Song Hye Kyo is included in the potentially got a new project bucket. She is reportedly in talks to reunite with award winning screenwriter Noh Hee Kyung‘s next K-drama, currently title unknown. They worked together in World’s Within/The World They Live In and That Winter, The Wind Blows and I’m hoping this third one has a long and lyrical name too haha. It’s a slice-of-life drama set in the world of broadcasting so much more like WW. Song Hye Kyo always does her best with top screenwriters and I’m excited she’s back in a big way.

  1. I loved That Winter! Excited to see who the male lead would end up being. So Ji Sub hasn’t done much lately…

  3. It seems like good actors come back to work ☺️ also Lee Byun Hun and Son Ye Jin received the offer to star in director’s Park Chan Wook movie (Old Boy, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, The Handmaiden, Decision to leave)

  4. I hope it will be a period drama as reported. I also think it will be fun if the title also started with 그 (like 그들이 사는 세상 and 그 겨울, 바람이 분다).

  5. I support this! Her works with No Hee-kyung are some of her finest performances, I always felt SHK makes a great melo actress so seeing her back to the genre will be good.

    • She’s a great melo actress when the writer is good at melo. She can only do so much when the writer is mid like in Encounter and Now We Are Breaking Up. Her best works are the ones with experienced star writers who knows what she’s capable of.

      • @Kiddo you have a point there, she works really well in melo as long as the drama has a decent writer, she’s as good as her material.

It’s too bad Lee Kyung Hee has lost her touch, she was once a great melo writer and I wonder how SHK would have done in one of her 00s-early 2010s dramas.
