When Zhao Jin Mai and Zhang Ling He was cast last year in period C-drama The Princess Royale I and probably most C-drama viewers would never have expected them to have a CP breakout together from it. It’s rarer and rarer for a C-drama romance pairing to generate the CP love because the two have to knock it out of the park in terms of actual onscreen chemistry, their respective fandoms can’t competitively turn on each other, and the stars can’t have their own real life relationship to pour cold water on CP fans. These two are now pairing up again to film modern romance C-drama Our Generation (Cherry Amber) and the newest filming stills from a seaside location shoot just shows off their comfortable and strong chemistry and adorable visuals together.

  3. They’re a cute pairing. I really hope their friendship continues on well and end the stupid competition that the rest of the other current actors and actresses co-starring together have.

    Look at Hu Ge, Tang Yan and Liu Shishi. Their good friendships continued generating attention and benefit for them years after co-starring together in a drama. They are prime examples for current actors and actresses to follow.

  4. They have an unexpected chemistry, won’t be surprised if they start dating. Have to admit ZLH looks more handsome in costume.

  5. It looks like ZLH career is already set as forever 2nd leading ML just like Xu Kai. I don’t think his career will ever breakthrough unless maybe he will take acting classes and self-improvement lessons. Dude got the height and looks, he is physically PERFECT but lacks on what’s important – TALENT

    • Have you been living under a rock the last couple years? He’s been ML for a bunch of high profile dramas. Not sure what this “forever 2nd ML” thing is you speak of. I find him decent albeit not outstanding. But at least I can finish his dramas. Xu Kai though, I don’t think I’ve ever finished anything where he was ML.

    ZLH look so mature in historical costume. But look so young in modern drama. Crazy

  9. I hope this drama wont just be cookie cutter cuteness, but has some angst. Give me heightened emotions!!
