There has been commentary in the past for both Zhang Jing Yi and Chen Zhe Yuan that both have modern faces and thus look out of place in period dramas. Of course both have done period dramas before to varying degrees of success and are now teaming up for the recently started filming drama Chasing Dreams (Meng Hua Ting 梦花廷) based on Flower in Novoland. She does have some dangly bit in her hairpiece but overall the whole look really suits her, she is way prettier here than in her last period drama Blossoms in Adversity. As for him, less is always more and a general wuxia warrior/prince look suits him very as well.
The costumes look refreshing, at least. Not the usual drab colors. I enjoy looking at them.
Which netizens, apart from their fans? Because this drama isn’t on anyone’s radar apart from theirs.
I just don’t like his wig…. Other than that it looks ok
Haha, yes that wig is really BIG! Also, no offense but good makeup and computer edits can make a lot of people look a lot better. I still feel that they don’t match that historical look. But regardless I’m still looking forward to this. I love historical dramas!
Ι can’t tell any difference from the average pseudo-historical drama.
Lead pairs looking great 👍
Waiting when the drama will be realesed.
