Seo Hyun Jin and Jang Ryul to Start Filming K-drama Love Me Adapted From a Swedish TV Show of the Same Name
This sounds like a prestige series so makes even more sense that the female lead signed on is Seo Hyun Jin. I couldn’t get myself excited to watch her last drama The Trunk despite loving both leads in the drama because a slow burn dark show wasn’t my jam during the cold weather and holiday season. But she will be back in the small screen this year with Love Me, a drama adapted from the same name Swedish series about a woman with looks, money, and prestige but is deeply lonely and has nothing else meaningful to her. The male lead will be Jang Ryul wuth second leads Yoo Jae Myung and Yoon Se Ah, and the drama doesn’t have a confirmed network yet.
Oh I liked him in Daily Dose of Sunshine and I’m curious about his next drama as a lead Chunhwa Love Story (even if I’m sad Ko Ah-Sung couldn’t be the FL because of her health).
Since WHy Her, Seo Hyun-hin became way too thin. I hope she will get a better haircut because in Trunk I really didn’t understand her hairstyle!
It will be a reunion for Yoo jae-myung and Yoon Se ah because they already played a married couple in the first season of secret forest (aka stranger). I
This is fun, interesting adaptation to me as Swedish K-Drama fan, the Swedish Love Me is famous, acclaimed in European tv and has walready been remake by Australian English language version.
I love SHH as an actress and hope this is high quality, serious drama. 🙂
Trunk was terrible. You only need to look at WTPR to see a mystery romance done right. But SHJ isn’t an actress who’s known to have a good eye for scripts. The last time I enjoyed her drama was Dr Romantic.
This one – from the 1 line description anyway – sounds like another boring drama with yet another lonely character for SHJ. A pass for me already unless the reviews come out great.
According to Namu and leaks on Twitter, Love Me will be a JTBC Wednesday-Thursday drama. I am just interested in the increasing trend of European series being adapted (multiple UK series, France’s Philharmonia, Spain’s Money Heist, plus reports of Netherlands’ Swanenburg having a remake led by Son Hyun-joo).

Chang Ryul is one of those regular supporting actors who always I think deserves a lead role so this is good to see. I wonder where this drama will air?
Yoo Jae Myung is good in everything so always pleased to see him in a cast.
