Hahahaha, OMG I’m dying at the ballsy and shameless response from Gold Medalist on behalf of Kim Soo Hyun. In the face of three days worth of mounting allegations and evidence that he dated now deceased actress Kim Sae Ron when she was still underaged and also contributed to her stress and worries with a debt collection notice after her DUI incident, the resp0nse would naturally be either (1) no or (2) yes to big question (did you date her or not) and perhaps a request to answer more details in coming days. But instead his side is blanketly asking for a one week extension to answer anything at all. From a PR perspective, this likely means a wait and watch approach to see how brands are responding to this unfolding scandal, as well as canvasing supporters and perhaps even trying to get media outlets to take their side before deciding which approach to take – deny, or admit (with caveats). I’ve seen this play before, not just in entertainment but in politics and the corporate world. Only admit what cannot be denied, and right now it seems the tide is turning against him but not so overwhelmingly to the degree he has to admit defeat and beg forgiveness. Next week we will see what story/response he comes up with, and its just so so sad Kim Sae Ron is no longer here to give voice to her own experience but hopefully the documentation she left behind can still be the truth that cannot be denied or ignored. I also hope her family continues to release more evidence because silence at this stage means all she went through remains for naught.

Nobody is denying the family’s culpability in this. Yes they failed her but so did everyone else who left her own her own to handle this man herself. However we must lose sight of him as the sexual predator because that’s exactly what he wants.
I will hold off my judgment at this point until more “evidence” comes out. KSH should take all the allegations to the court and sue against defamation if he’s clean. Taking legal actions is the only means to justify himself. If he doesn’t bring it to the court, then it’s legit to question his innocence cuz a normal person will definitely sue those who initiated/spread harmful rumors about him that is ruining his career.

He must be working with his PR team and legal team about all options to counteract the scandal. It takes time to process. Yes, even how real those text messages, hand-written letters, and lovey-dovey couple pics look like, I can’t be sure if all this is authentic given that tech nowadays is really capable of faking anything. We have seen all the deepfake abuses in the US elections and Taiwan’s elections. I’ll leave it to the legal authority to judge. That being said, if KSH’s team doesn’t take legal actions but appears to desperately muzzle unfavorable opinions instead, then it’s legit to believe all the rumors most likely are true.
My C fave was unfairly wronged, accused, bullied, and defamed, and has been suffering from negative aftereffects since then. But antis continue to believe he has caused pains to other people. He’s got a great legal team to sue nasty mouths every year LOL. I don’t want to wrong any innocent people. That’s why I’m reserving my judgment at this point. If KSH has done nothing inappropriate, he definitely will bring any allegations to the court since these allegations have already damaged his image. the aunt was not her biological aunt, it’s like an older lady she knew and called aunt.
She lives alone after she is like 17,her family said they only know it when she reach 17, not from the very beginning and they did disagree until they are “persuaded” by her and ksh.
Her dad did not live with her, she raised by her “disturbed” mother and the breadwinner of that family.
tbh we don’t really know cause she isn’t here anymore but the fact that people who digs this and pioneer this whole things is actually the people who weren’t at her daily life may point to very different things. I’m a fan of actor KSH in Moon Embracing the Sun. After METS, I personally think his performance was always overshadowed by his costars in the following dramas. I once said so and got harshly attacked by his rabid fans on this site specifically when I expressed dislike of the recent hit QoT and was critical of his awkward “comedic” acting. So, whatever I’m gonna say here isn’t defending him. Just saying, this isn’t coming out of his fans.
I was on the fence holding back my judgment and then a slew of allegations against him appeared convincing. But after reading more news on different sites, now I’m holding back my judgment again. Currently the public opinions leave KSH in unfavorable spotlight and a lot of Kdrama fans are excited and trashing him. This reminds me of those celebs, KSR included, who went through cyber bullying before they took a tragic exit. I always denounce cyber bullying and disapprove of those commenters who participated in cyberbullying celebs on this site. I don’t want to be part of the cyber bullying against KSH either. I’ll just wait for KSH’s agency GM’s official statement next week and perhaps more information to unfold. If all the allegations are true, than he’s a predator grooming a minor and might have contributed to KSR’s death. Then let him be condemned. But so far, anything circulated online should be considered speculations even photos and hand written letters can’t be considered “evidence” without legal corroboration. Everyone should stay calm and refrain oneself from being a keyboard judge outside the courtroom. I don’t want to see LSK 2.0.

I think it’s clear his career are over. I didn’t see any korean star to recover from such scandal no matter if guilty or not.
I do think he’s guilty. One small part of me still hopes his agency will come up with some miracle a week later and expose all photos and letters as incredible photoshop, but I 99% know it won’t happen.

3. With KSH himself. If he’ll be cancelled, it means he exposed now and has nothing to hide anymore. His evil nature was revealed. I wonder if he will do something crazy. Of course I hope he won’t, but he’s only 37 yo and hella rich, he has whole life ahead to try to do whatever he wants towards people he would find attractive. Like, what will stop him now, when he doesn’t need to care about reputation. I don’t know how, I just wish he will be controlled by someone, at least by journalists, and people will be protected from him.
I wish very much it’s just my worries, and he won’t harm anyone anymore.
This is my worries, my thoughts about all of this:
1. Hypocrisy of journalists and people as all. There’s not much people who cared about KSR a month ago, now many of them started to care. Especially crying about “woman can be heard only when she’s dead”, as we’re not a part of the problem.
I could at least to write encouraging comments and messages to Kim Sae Ron on social media, but I did nothing. I preferred to spent time to gossip here.
2. With all of that the main thing comes to my mind, how better it would be if everything would be revealed a few weeks earlier, when KSR was alive. Yes, her family made their revenge (I don’t understand how her family let her go to his agency, but it’s on them), he is hated and cancelled, but KSR still dead. If everything was exposed when she was alive, how better it could be.
3. Also I think how many here (me included) criticised that Tangerine/Millie/Minnie/crazy person with 15 accs who wrote a lot of comments under posts about Kim Sae Ron, and how turns out they were right.

I know you all are saying that women won’t get justice until after their deaths but that’s not true. Sometimes even after their deaths, they do not get justice. I hope KSR does. But I’m reminded of Jang Jayeon, who even after her death never got the justice she deserves. Despite going through what she did, the only person arrested in her case was the manager. None of the powerful people involved faced any repercussions. People were outraged at the time, but once it dies down, ultimately nothing changes. These things keep happening. Same tragedy, different actress.
