Burgeoning Small Cable Channel ENA K-drama Tastefully Yours Sees Ratings Drop Last Two Episodes After Bullying Allegations Against Female Lead Go Min Si — 13 Comments

  1. The ratings decline was due to the writing going down the gutter. It went from a decent little foodie show to “why am I even watching this crap” levels of quality lol. I doubt it even had anything to do with the GMS allegations.

  2. Her bullying allegation might have a little to do with drop
in ratings. IMO, the ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE script writing & directing, KHN’s overacting, and Go Min Si’s same stoic expression in every scene are the factors that caused the drop in ratings. It’s funny, every time Go Min Si comes on screen, I am reminded of that Senior actress who plays Kim Hye Yoon’s mom in Lovely Runner. There’s something weird about GMS’s face, I can’t quite explain. She did well in The Witch playing the foul mouth typical teenager. Her cold stoic expressions worked for her character in The Frog. She’s either very bland or rough in Tastefully. There’s nothing in her acting that makes me want to root for her Moon Joo character. That supporting actress playing rival chef has better eye acting and is more expressive given she’s only a newbie.

    • I am glad I am not the only want who feel this way about Tastefully Yours. Slapstick is the show’s brand of comedy. And I completely agree with whayever you said abt Go Minsi and Kang Haneul. And none of the character is likeable.

  3. Maybe people should choose nun/priest as actress/actor. What today got to do with many years ago. When at young age who doesn’t make mistake? And they may already repent and change. What a hypocrite people who loves to judge others

    • We’re not sure yet if the bullying allegations are true. However, if it’s true that she’s a bully, she definitely should be held accountable. Of course we all did mistakes in our younger years, but bullying is NOT simply a mistake. Bullying literally causes extreme trauma to victims and it’s not something victims can just forget and get over with. Have you seen “The Glory”? It was based on a true story. Bullying in Korea is THAT serious. Even if the bully “already repent and change”, it’s not up to us to forgive them, it’s UP TO THE VICTIM. Also, wrong use of the word “hypocrite” there. Hypocrisy is when you criticize someone for doing something that you also do. Not sure how that applies here, unless you have evidence that the people who criticize bullies had been bullies themselves in the past?

    • Any bully (IF she is proven to be one) shall be held accountable regardless how many years have passed. You have no idea the scars left behind from bullying.

  4. But she received accolades doing a few movies already and even a variety series on Amazon and no one dared say it then till now? So odd. If she was shame on her but if not shame on them.

    • Some of the accusations already came out when she was doing Sweet Home. She apologized that time and everyone forgot about it.

  5. I like her so I hope the allegations are false and her agency is able to sue but if there’s any truth in it then I hope the victim(s) are able to successfully prove their case.
