If feels like Dylan Wang‘s name is attached to every third C-drama big budget project in development and that’s not too far off from the reality. He’s just a buzzy star and still bankable and has his pick of many high profile scripts. This week there is casting news that Hunan TV is looking to sign him paired with Wang Chu Ran for the period romance drama Xiang Chu Shang Wu (香初上舞), adapted from the same novel by the writer Teng Ping who also wrote Mysterious Lotus Casebook. Wang Chu Ran has really turned her reputation around in the two years since Fireworks of My Heart and she also has dramas filmed on deck for next year that if it does well will solidify her as one of the bankable female leads of her gen. As for this pairing, I am totally fine with it if these two are the final picks.
