Lee Chae Min and Roh Yoon Seo Confirmed for Romance K-drama My Reason to Die
Oh this is going to be so cute both in terms of the pairing and the reunion aspect. Lee Chae Min has found a leading lady for his next drama My Reason to Die and its his Crash Course in Romance onscreen high school romance costar Roh Yoon Seo. Both will go back to high school again for this drama, with her playing a taekwondo athlete training to become a national representative and the mysterious man who saves her. It’s adapted from the same name webtoon and the PD directed Vincenzo and Queen of Tears with the screenwriter of Pegasus Market and Joseon Survival. Unlike Byun Woo Seok‘s mega breakout two years ago and all eyes on his next drama, Lee Chae Min’s breakout last year is a little smaller in scale and hopefully gives him more breathing room to not have to win or go home with this drama.

He’s more charismatic than other popular names in his generation
He overshadowed the male lead in drowsy Cashero
Agreed! I also consider LCM more charismatic than Junho in Cashero that I watched everything except for the finale LOL. Cashero is a pale imitation of marvel movie.
I didn’t watch Vincenzo. I found Queen of Tears predictable and dull, it didn’t keep me excited for each new episode. I finished it because I was drawn to Kim Jiwon’s character (and her sense of style, LOL), I fast-forwarded and skipped scenes, though. My expectations for both PD and screewriter are low.
Lee Chae Min has been in the industry for about five years. I haven’t seen any of his recent dramas, but I remember his scene-stealing performances in High Class and Love All Play.
If you had said the same thing about QoT on this blogging site before KSH got into trouble, rabid fans would have ganged up on you. lol.
I’ve never finished Vincezo or QoT even after trying several times. Not my alley.
Yeah, before the scandal, I wanted to watch it just for Kim Ji Won and Park Sung Hoon (his character there was a weirdo, but I love him as an actor). But now I can’t watch it, not even for my faves, because I literally can’t stand seeing that pedo’s face 🤢🤮
And yeah, f*CK his rabid fans, disgusting pedo apologists 🤮
which makes me wonder… why does ksh even have rabid fans who will go to the ends of the earth for him? it’s not like he’s cha eunwoo-level handsome or namgoong min/jisung-level of great in acting. he’s literally so dang mid, both in terms of looks and acting. don’t see any evidence of him having a great or charming personality either. i don’t get it lmao
@megan, parasocial relationships are an interesting phenomenon because it’s not necessary to possess beauty or talent for those who see an artist through a screen, to feel the need to establish a unilateral bond. LOL. I myself in the past was a stan of x actors and singers. But each and every one of them ended up prosecuted and sentenced for crimes. That’s how the fanaticism was taken away from me, it was a hard reality check. But it doesn’t work with everyone as we already see.
@meghan
Probably because he is famous and highest paying actor? It’s hard to imagine, but there are those who become fan just because that person is famous. I feel you can pinpoint another case if you think about it
LCM is very expressive and interesting to watch. He has potential. Not a fan of the PD, but I will check this out because of LCM. Sometimes, a charismatic leading actor turns a drama that’s not my thing into something intriguing, e.g., Yoo Yeon Seok in Phantom Lawyer.
I don’t get the Vincenzo hype. Couldn’t continue after a few episodes and even though I thought the first episode was really good. There was also no chemistry between the Leeds and I was confused as to why everyone was raving about the couple.
I did like queen of tears and enjoyed that quite a bit except for the ending. I have to admit that the weird villain Seemed inserted from a different genre and it took me out of the show.
